The Corentium Home radon gas detector allows you to take a reading of the radon levels and the LCD screen displays the average daily, weekly and long term concentrations. Powered by 3 standard AAA batteries, the monitor makes it easy to take measurements from one room to another in order to get an overview of the concentrations of radon in a home, workplace, school, a daycare center or any other location. The Corentium Home radon detector is also an essential tool to use when performing property inspections or when checking the operation of a radon mitigation system. Why measure radon? Simple actions make a significant difference. Measuring radon is the only way to know if you have a problem. From there you can take the appropriate steps to reduce your risks of illness and have peace of mind. What is Radon? Leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers. Kills more than 6x the amount of people that home fires and carbon monoxide combined. An invisible, odorless, tasteless, radioactive gas. Is present in all buildings and homes. Fluctuates daily, weekly, yearly. Easily monitored and managed with a digital radon detector. Everything You Need In A Radon Monitor Accuracy Radon levels change. We want to provide you with long term and short term averages with the most accurate readings every 24 hours. See everything you need right on the display. Radon levels fluctuate due to ventilation and weather changes, so a longer test gives a more accurate average, as short-term tests may miss this. Levels take days to a month to stabilise within Β±10% accuracy. Waiting at least 20 days ensures reliable results. Advanced technology The internal architecture of the Corentium Home radon detector comes from advanced technology normally reserved for commercial-type detectors. Particular attention has been paid to the quality and protection of the internal components, allowing the use of algorithms for more sophisticated signal analysis. Corentium Home radon detector is guaranteed for one year and requires no annual calibrations. Reporting Enter your measurements and get a printable report-card sent to your inbox. I have found that a radon fan and a radon sump together enable the radon levels to plummet dramatically. I normally use an average reading over several days, although shorter intervals between taking sets of readings can be very interesting (- especially if you like stats/numbers!). I found this detector to be extremely useful and ultimately, of course, its use is certainly no bad thing from a health perspective. **Q: Did anyone have theirs delivered with the batteries already installed on? mine did, and i'm wondering if the one i received was a return/refurbish.** A: Hi there, Thanks for your question and interest in Airthings! David Harrison's answer is correct - this is how they are supplied, new, with a small plastic tab to remove to complete the power circuit. All of our Airthings products come with batteries, and in your case, the Corentium Home comes with 3x AAA batteries which should last up to 2 years. Simply replace them with new alkaline batteries when they need changing. You can read more about the lifespan of the Home in our help center https://help.airthings.com/en/articles/3669173-home-what-is-the-lifespan-of-the-home. **Q: Mine arrived without batteries and no pull tab, why?** A: It could be that Amazon shipped you an open/used device, I would get in contact with their customer service to have them exchange this for you. All of our monitors will come in a sealed box with batteries and a pull tab. ## Frequently Bought Together - Airthings Corentium Home Radon Detector - 224 Portable, Lightweight, Easy-to-Use, (3) AAA Battery Operated, Intl Version, Bq/m - Multiple Purposes Case for Corentium Home Radon Detector by Airthings, for Desktop and Wall-Mounted --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/48668429-corentium-home-radon-detector-224-portable-lightweight-easy-to-use](https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/48668429-corentium-home-radon-detector-224-portable-lightweight-easy-to-use) --- *Product available on Desertcart Cyprus* *Store origin: CY* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
