Works great, saves tons of time for snaplock metal roofing
Worked out of the box. Perfect depth of cut for folding roof sheets. Takes out 4 of the steps per sheet,no measuring needed.

Best tool I have
Does a great job.. lines up my cuts for notching better I ever have. Should have bought one years ago! Highly recommend. Great heavy-duty quality tool.

Wouldn't cut copper sheet metal cleanly/consistently, locking mechanism could be more secure
On the first use, this cut a notch from copper sheet metal, but on second and subsequent use it did not cut a clean notch, as you can see in the photo. The lock is very easy to undo and didn't feel the most secure. It could be intended for use on harder metals only, but this is not clear in the description. The handle was comfortable as advertised, though!

Will take some abuse.
Got these to notch 20 gauge sheet metal to build wheel arch patch panels. Worked good but I wouldn't want to try anything thicker. It takes some real effort to get through 20 gauge steel. Still faster than using snips and it yields a nice uniform cut.Overall I am pleased.

Works
They work they punch through light gauge but I find even like 22 gauge was sorta sticky as it wouldn’t always complete the cut . Malco is your best bet but I don’t knock these for the price they do the job il keeep em!!

Poorly made tool
Very poorly made tool that does not even perform the function it is intended for! The jaws dont open wide enough to fit over the plate it is supposed to cut. If they do, and once the cut is made, you literraly have to price the tool open with your hands. The spring is not strong enough to open the tool by itself. This tool is made with ZERO quality control. It appears the manufacturer sets out with a goal to make a "bad tool"! Cant understand why people even attempt to sell such products in the market! I returned my 2 that I purchased within 1 hour of Amazon delivering!
