Bliksem SSD 128GB SATA III 6Gb/s internal Solid State Drive 2.5″ 7mm(0.28″) 3D NAND TLC Chip Up to 550 Mb/s For Laptop and Pc KD650 (Black 128GB)

This is a make I had never heard of before but it was cheap. I normally swear by Kingston drives and SDCards. I have around eight or so of different sizes and they have never been an issue before. This came up on a search and at less then 18 quid for a half terabyte drive an absolute bargain. So I gave it a go. I have paid more for smaller drives. It is fast very fast for a SATA drive. Power on to desktop in less then 20 seconds. Not on a par with NVME dives but fast. Well worth the price and I would recommend. Update – This drive lasted 653 days (roughly 21 months) in a desktop that was used every day for multiple hours. Towards the end it slowed down and boot times became longer up to a minute plus. The end result was the drive died with a bad superblock error. This is terminal so the drive was replaced. Would I recommend them still? Depends on your usage and data backup routine. They are cheap no brand units of indeterminate contents. Meaning they buy the controllers and chips from whoever well supply them and do not make them in house.

Using this as a portable SSD for various files. However the 1TB version had to be returned as it failed to initialize and disappeared off the drive manager. This one works so perhaps I was just unlucky with the 1tb. This one works fine however.

Pros :Got this to compare to my 'usual' brand . Great read/write speeds when formatted to NTFS - on par with other SSD's in similar price band. For me about 37-40 MB/s average write (windows folder to drive) with up to 125 MB/s at near end of write , double that for read (i.e. copying from drive to a windows folder), so no complaints there. Cons: Really sloooow when formatted to FAT32, about 10-12 times slower in my tests when writing , and about 5MB/s read. 'm not using any fancy drive analytic software - just manual tests ,so your results may differ . Summary : OK for the money if you stick with NTFS, but if you want fast read and write for FAT32 (Firestick/WII expansion etc) then I would recommend a Kin*s*on SSD over this one - which will give you really fast performance when formatted to either FAT32 or NTFS , for around the same price.

Came very fast plug and play works perfectly

Bought to upgrade an aging MacBook. Zero issues with installation, formatting and set up. Boot-up time has reduced considerably. For the price, it's hard to argue with.

I normally buy a different brand for my computer upgrades but took a chance on these ones as they appeared on Amazon deals. The SSD drives are as well made as their rivals and perform equally as well, as far as I can see. Once installed with windows 10 and windows 11 they performed fast enough and loaded all programs as fast as the laptops could handle the files. The SSD drives are made of decent quality plastic and the internal components well set inside the case. Not much more to add - I have installed them now in both laptops and desktops and they are working just fine! Happy to recommend.

The name is Hilarious for anyone who knows Afrikaans, as such I bought this more as a gag than as a item I really needed. Though, that being said, It turns out to be a great little drive. SATA SSD's are a but old school since the 6Gb/s bandwidth has long since been saturated, but the drive performs as well as can be expected from something Using SATA. It has great price per GB as well and is generally a solid drive to recommend. It does not get hot under heavy use at all and speeds are in the ballpark of a Samsung 870 SSD
