It works
I was way too slow to realise that my phosphate levels were ridiculously high in my tank, to the extent that it was killing my inverts. But as with all of these test kits the colour comparison chart does not accurately match the test result. It's like the chart colour is like a block from a kids paint set but the water in the test result is when a wet brush has been rubbed on that paint block then painted onto white paper. I wish salifert would make the charts more realistic.

The only bad Salifert kit!
In my opinion this is the only poor test kit made by Salifert. The colour difference between the levels of PO4 we are trying to aim for in our reef tanks is too similar. For FOWLR or purely fish only tanks I'm sure this would be fine with higher phosphate readings, but for a mixed reef setup it's not accurate enough.
