Have three fishing bags and each one is set up for specific fishing style…one for catfish, one for finesse fishing and the other a backpack for all around.

It’s a great convenient set of snips, conveniently small enough to carry in a way that doesn’t obstruct the fisher-person ; ensuring the person has the ability to cut braided line which is always a daunting task if you forget a knife, blade, lighter, scissors etc to actually cut braided line with. Cuts through it seamlessly, without hesitation. Only bad thing I have to say about it is the metal part where it attaches to is not round all the way through. It flattens out at the middle which is where you’d assume the set would sit perfectly on the ring BUT- because the metal clip flattens out, it doesn’t go through the small round circle hole on the plastic scissors themselves- therefore , it sits a wee bit funky on the lanyard attachment. That’s something that’ll become second nature through multiple use though, I presume. Other than that- Greta priced , durable , lightweight, small but severely effective tools here!!!

I took these fishing on my small boat yesterday. I clipped it onto one of the D-rings on my life vest. It worked great. The spring inside has just the right tension, and the cord was just the right length. So far, I’ve only used the scissors to cut fluorocarbon leaders and braid fishing lines. They cut without problems.Many of these types of devices perform well when new but fail shortly thereafter. For me, the biggest issues are how well it holds up to saltwater, and how long the scissors stay sharp. So far so good, but only time will tell. I fish at least once every two weeks during spring, summer, and fall so will be using these quite a bit. I’ll update this review in a few weeks or if anything fails prematurely.

If you have braided line, you need scissors like these to cut it. The little nail clippers that you can use to cut mono line just don't cut the braided line.This set has a zinger and two different types of scissors, one is just the scissor and the other had a hooked end for separating splt shot. I don't use split shot too much, but it's nice to have.All in all, these are just what I needed.

These scissors are very sharp and cut braid line quick and clean. The retractor makes them easy to keep nearby by clipping to your belt loop or lanyard.The above review is for SAMSFX Fishing Braid Scissors.
