Clippasafe Bump Belt

If you're wondering whether to invest then do. It's really comfortable to sit on, really simple to fit in place and transfer quickly from driver to passenger seat to share driving on long journeys or from one car to another. It only takes 5 seconds longer to belt yourself in before pulling away so you will use it and that's important even for short journeys. It successfully keeps the lap belt under your bump. The only caveat I would suggest is that I'm a size 14 and find it just right and snug so wonder how comfortable it might be for larger dress sizes although it does have stretch in the clips. I was glad I bought it within days when we drove to Cornwall and met an inconsiderate driver heading too fast down a blind one way lane that forced my husband to do an emergency stop. It gave me huge comfort to know bump was safe when the belt pulled tight across my lap and not my bump. I know it's not cheap but given the peace of mind it gives me when travelling by car and particularly when I'm driving and not distracted by wanting to hold the belt lower with one hand to keep it away from my bump, I think the price tag is more than worth it.

I bought this for my wife when she was around 34 weeks pregnant. I would have got one sooner if I'd known about it beforehand.I am advised that the cushion part on the seat is comfortable and unobtrusive. The version we have is fitted with poppers rather than Velcro; these work fine and are quick to apply.This device serves to hold the seatbelt a little away from the lower body, with a few advantages:1) The belt does not go over the 'bump', rather it sits below and a little to the front. In the event of a crash, the seatbelt can still function normally, so this should help protect the unborn baby as far as one can tell.2) The belt does not 'ride up' the tummy, which I am told makes it very comfortable to use over longer journeys.The item appears to be well-made and durable, though time will tell on that front. We have not seen any other version, so cannot comment on which is the best brand.After having used the device for several weeks, we have no complaints to report, only positive feedback.My wife would recommend the Clippasafe Advanced Bump Belt.

Unfortunately this broke after 1 use just opening the clips (the press studs on the clip on one side broke off). I ordered a replacement and the same thing happened again with the new item but on both sides. I’m not sure if it’s just a faulty batch as there are good reviews but I’m now going to order a different type of pregnancy seat belt protector as I can’t be sure it won’t happen again or if the product is safe, as it broke so easily would it withstand an accident. Disappointed as like the idea of this and was comfy to sit on.

I bought this for my pregnant wife and it worked a treat. She did'nt believe it would work at first but once I set it up and sat her on it she loved it. The clips keep the belt off your bump and push the belt onto your legs; keeping you safe and comfortable at the same time.A great purchase for long or short journeys!

Brilliant - for my first pregnancy I had borrowed one of these from a friend but purchased my own this time round. This version is much better than the previous version - a single popper on each fastening is strong, secure and more robust than the previous version with Velcro. Still super quick to put on and take off which is important to me. (I keep the seatbelt fastened to the bit nearest the door when I get out).The positioning is also much better than the previous version sitting easily and comfortably under my bump without pulling it down all the time.Finally the non slip bottom keeps it nicely in place.Couldn't be happier and would highly recommend this brand and model. I'm not a mum that buys loads of baby gadgets but this is something I've found invaluable for our safety.

In order to be objective and give you a more accurate rating I would have to experience the product during a car crash, however we do not want to be in that situation at any cost and so far I've been lucky.Taking that into account I can only share my experience at 36wks pregnant.... so far it has been very good, I do a lot of long distances driving and the belt sits where it should without potentially squeezing my baby and I can't hardly notice it. It is very easy to attach to your car seat and the delivery services where very good. I would personally recommend it as this is one of those things that you prefer to be "better safe than sorry".

I didn't know such product existed before I accidently found it on amazon and I'm glad I found it, it makes great difference, it makes you feel comfortable and safe while you are driving.I've been using it for more than a week and it's really comfortable. I was concerned whether I'd be able to use it now because it's winter and I'm wearing thick clothes and a coat. It works even with all the winter clothes. I'm quite thin and I'm 23rd week so it doesn't really hold the belt under my belly but more like on my hips. It's still away from my belly and feels quite good to not worry about your belt all the time.The part you sit on is soft and comfortable too. I'm not sure whether the clips will be able to sustain being opened and closed few times a day but let's hope they are durable. I'll post an update in case they break or tear apart.

As soon as I opened it, one side of the clip safe belt broke. The popper came off. First time touching the product and it fell apart in my hands. Not fit for purpose!
