Battlestar Galactica - Limited Edition Ultimate Collection

About the seller: the item was described as "used - in good condition" and it homestly looks like it's new, which is perfect. The show on itself is fantastic and one of my favourites. About the boxset... it's absolutely gorgeous. Other buyers make a better description of the boxset contents so I won't do the same but I will say it is way luxurious than I expected. Excelent buy.

Wonderful presentation and contains everything with the exception of 'The Face Of The Enemy' web series (which is apparently due to licensing issues).

My husband purchased this for our son. Not feeling very amused as we already watched every episode plus Caprica. He claims our so needs it as they have extra scenes I suspect he bought it for himself. I'm not falling for this nonsense Since the hobbit I am starting to believe directors deliberately film scenes which insanely dull then cut them just to make buying a box set appealing at a later date (how can they have extended scenes on a single book turned in to three movies it's not possible). I can almost hear the director saying to the producers "throw those scenes out they stink" And the producers of Galactica cackling in glee saying "we must keep the precioussssss in time we may want more moneyyyyyssssss". Therefore personally I refuse to be watch it. Plus adding in a directors commentary why do that it is like asking your uncle to feel free to talk loudly through the best bits of a movie. They could just add the cast preforming musical numbers as extras now that would be worth it. Galactic is great but maybe try out some new shows rather than rewatch ones you have already seen. Is 5 seconds of Starbuck having an existential crisis and 10 of Adama looking stressed and feeling torn, again really worth it?. Give Dollhouse or House of cards a chance or if it has to be existential space drama anime has you covered. Alternatively try you tube Sesame street it's still fresh and funny. Delivery was prompt and product was disappointingly as described 😬 if you enjoy extended special edition pretty box sets you will love it. Just remember your 3 tape special edition VCR box set of the Matrix

The quality of the series speaks for itself. At this new lower price, this blu-ray box set does provide excellent value for money, coming as it does with the extra BG short films plus the webisodes. The whole package is very well put together and the quality of the conversion is excellent

Firstly let's start by saying battlestar galatica is quite possible one of the finest t.v shows ever made and now it has been given a boxset finally worthy of such a great show.. This is truly complete, the log book design is perfect and the content is excellent. it is loaded with extras and also includes blood and chrome as well as the complete caprica prequel all t.v movies I.e razor etc. If you was in 2 minds about getting this or upgrading your old box set dont hesitate you won't be sorry..

Amazing saga given in very nice boxing and perfect quality of BD. BTW: I've managed to buy it month ago for 60% of current price at amazon.co.uk - hell no idea, how amazon's pricing strategy works...

Superb box set all complete saga

Just finished watching the entire set. Decided to actually watch all the content before commenting. I had no playback issues in my Samsung UBD-K8500 (Samsung Flagship 4K UHD player) with Caprica as has been an issue for others. Quality across the board was fantastic. I had seen Battlestar Galactica on Blu-ray prior and the quality was identical to all other universal releases of the series. Packaging was fantastic, love the style. Arrived in a condition acceptable for a new product.

Caprica discs do not play

Il cofanetto si presenta molto bene, tutto in metallo. All'interno una sagoma in morbida schiuma crea 4 alloggiamenti dove vengono inseriti i 4 contenitori in plastica contenenti i DVD. La statuina in plastica è costruita abbastanza bene anche se la reputo un pò leggerina. Ho iniziato la visione con la miniserie. Il video lo reputo insufficiente, a memoria mi sembrava migliore quello della serie 1978 e 1980. Una serie così recente con un video così scadente lascia proprio l'amaro in bocca, il rumore video è sempre presente in maniera corposa e in molti frangenti lo è ancora di piu. L'audio un modesto Dolby Digital 5.1 molto contenuto e con un canale centrale debole sui dialoghi. Sotto il profilo tecnico inizia male questa serie. Terminato di visionare la 1a stagione. Il comparto video nelle scene diurne è buono; all'interno del Galactica, discreto; nelle scene scure scarso/sufficiente. Il comparto audio, DD 2.0 discreto ascoltandolo con l'HT. Terminata la 2a stagione, stesse caratteristiche tecniche della 1a. Storia molto avvincente. Terminata la 3a stagione. Comparto video come le precedenti. Comparto audio DD 2.0 allineato alle precedenti Razor; comparto video allineato alla serie, comparto audio DD 5.1 ma decisamente sottotono, comunque superiore al 2.0 delle varie serie. Terminata la visione della 4a stagione. Comparto video esattamente allineato alle precedenti. Secondo me la qualità è sempre la stessa; tra le quattro stagioni ci sono due tipologie di "resa" scene molto granulose, scene normali adeguate ad un normale dvd. Comparto audio, anche questo perfettamente allineato alle stagioni precedenti, DD 2.0 di discreta qualità. Nessun difetto riscontrato, un'ottima serie di fantascienza che non può non essere visionata e posseduta dagli amanti del genere. Visionato The Plan. Comparto video esattamente come tutto il resto. Comparto audio DD 5.1 buono/ottimo; fosse stato presente in tutta la serie sarebbe stato un ottimo lavoro. Chissà come mai molte parti di questo film sono state prese da alcuni episodi dove erano proposti in DD 2.0 mentre qui sono in DD 5.1

Meraviglioso cofanetto, curatissimo in ogni particola...immancabile per gli amanti di Battlestar Galactica...l'involucro in metallo garantisce una perfetta conservazione dei dvd riducendo il classico deterioramento degli involucri di cartone standard (so che è una cosa scontata, ma è sempre meglio pensarci prima di acquistar le stagioni singole ed i film singoli :) ) Consigliatissimo...
