Old fashioned chips made easy
Fantastic product, so nice to have old fashioned chips. Very easy to use and great the components all come off to wash either in the sink or dishwasher. The container keeps the oil fresh and ready to use again. Excellent value for money. Well made and not too heavy.

Easy to clean fryer! Save money on oil
Very happy with the purchase! Finally found a deep fryer which is super easy to clean. Large basket means we can cook the family meal in just one go. Heats up quickly with the option to select the temperature. Built in timer which can be easily activated and beeps once up. We did have an issue with the oil draining in the beginning. There is a small screw cap on the back of the oil box which was done up tight, when the oil was draining, the air in the box had no where to go which caused the oil to drip on the countertop. We've found that leaving the screw slightly undone ( just enough so that air can leave ) works perfectly. Oil drains perfectly now with no mess at all. Overall a great quality fryer at a respectable price

What a fantastic fryer!!!
Been looking at these for ages now, and been contemplating buying one, I only occasionally deep fry and this time first use I made some crispy chicken (salt and pepper Chinese style) previously I was making use of a small cheap old one I had. This fryer is night and day in comparison, a real pleasure to use, no more messy oil filters or spills, or leaving oil in the fryer, with bits mixed in etc the filtration system takes all the hassle out of deep frying! I can happily turn the knob and it empties the tank into the blue section which filters as it dispenses and then give the whole top section a quick clean. This was the main reason I went for this model. Really simple, also dishwasher safe (however itās simply and quicker to clean in the sink!)Cooking wise, temps hold very well setting using a little dial on the top, there is lots of space to keep things cooking evenly in the basket, the little timer on top is simple but effective, very sturdy and simple to use. I would say the whole package is excellent value for money. On a final note⦠I honestly canāt believe it took me this long to invest in this. Game changer for occasional use or regular fryers, Iām throwing my old fryer out tomorrow! If your thinking ādo I, donāt Iā, just get one. Thank me later!

Tefal deep fat fryer
Have had this a few months now! And can give an honest review. When the parcel arrived and I removed the deep fat fryer, my 1st thoughts were about the size of the unit!! This is big!! Where am I going to store this, but after a while I found a shelf under my stairs to store it.Loaded up the 3ltrs of oil and away I go!Home made chips for starters! After a couple of minutes I had to remove the lid and dry of the moisture which was excessive. So tried some chicken and moisture was the same. After 4 uses I tried the filter system which I must say is very good!! As to date I've got 8/9 uses of the oil with no tarnished food šAfter the 1st use I noticed an oil after smell in my kitchen and have noticed it after every use, even thow there's ment to be no after smells. All in all, it's got a large basket with plenty of room for the house, smell still similar to other deep fat fryers, size is BIG and doesn't fit in standard kitchen cupboards. Ease of use good, has a timer which is a waste of space no storage for the cable.Yes I would recommend it, ( note I bought the large version) if you are limited on space I would say go for the small one.Have to say the filter system is very good and you get longer out of your oil, note that the oil drains slowly, so when set to drain mode just leave it for about 30mins before cleaning. On that note cleaning is very easy and all main parts are removable and cleanable.šš

Best fryer, Ever!
Very easy to use, very well designed, easy to clean and change oil. Oil lasts much longer with the filter system. 5 stars and certainly worth the extra expense, was still a great price on black Friday offers.

Well Tefal, where to startā¦
WOW! Brilliant ! The oil drains into the bottom storage container after 2 hours so itās non spill if you are like me and store it in a cupboard. Easily washed and dishwasher proof. A clip on the inside front to hang the basket so the food can drain.Itās a bit more than I wanted to pay but Iām soooo glad I did because it is WELL worth the money. As I got the compact itās not too heavy. Its cooks perfect chips with the easy to use temperature dial. Itās super easy to use, sturdy and fit for what itās intended for !

Maybe a little shallow for some types of food
First off I bought this for the ease of cleaning and filtration system and for that its great. In use however I have found a few little things while not deal breakers certainly should be noted. I will still give it 5 stars but only as 4 seems a bit mean so in theory its a 4.5 star rating. The depth of oil is (when filled to a few mm below maximum) a little shallow for thicker cuts of battered fish so you may need to turn them over to stop them sticking to the basket and to cook properly - although its fine for chips and probably most normal things you would deep fry as the basket is nice and wide so food can spread out a bit more. If you fill it to about 1 or 2mm below maximum the oil container cannot take it all when filtering so you may need to use a small jug to decant any excess oil out making the process a bit fiddly and even with it more or less in between the marks it can still leave a small amount in the bowl. It takes about 2.5 to 3 hours for the oil to cool down enough to filter and then allow you to take it apart to wipe the element and wash the bowl and basket etc. I use the dishwasher to clean it (note with ours that an economy wash wont quite clean the bowl as well as a standard wash) But I usually have to give it an extra wipe when it comes out as sunflower oil can stain the bowl a bit (we have to use sunflower oil due to an allergy to rapeseed oil)Overall it heats up fairly quickly (7 to 8 minutes) cooks well and the fact most of it can go in the dishwasher a great help. Be aware it is a fairly large unit (there is a smaller one available) and with the weight of the oil can be heavy enough to move about for storage - and when frying the sides do get hot (obviously!) so as with all deep fryers should never be left unattended when in use.Summing up a great machine and recommended.
