A little tricky
What to expect: This yarn is beautiful and has a nice shiny glow, but as others have said, it is not for beginners. It took some getting used to, and I find that I have to work pretty slowly. It is very, very soft, slippery, and light as a feather. I have never worked with yarn this light before, so it is a new and tricky experience. I am using it in a crochet project (shawl), but I'm sure I would have the same results with knitting. Don't let it get anywhere near Velcro, because it catches and creates a fuzz mess. That is true for all yarn, but especially this one (I have to wear a hand brace that has Velcro on it).Tangles: I am not having any problems with it knotting while I am working with it, but I definitely had to be careful untangling the yarn barf when I pulled it out of the middle of the skein, using center-pull. I am expecting to have some trouble when I get near the end of the skein as well, but I am not there yet.Size: I agree with others that it is smaller than standard DK weight.Splitting: I haven't had any problems with splitting, but I probably would if I were knitting with it, so just be careful and it will be fine.Beading: I am integrating beads into my project, and it is working just fine for that.Color: The Blue Teal color is definitely more blue than green (it looks greener in the photo than in person) but is still beautiful.I do recommend this for those who have a good amount of experience under their belts with knit and crochet, and who can be very patient.

Super soft
I love the softness of this yarn. I love the bright color. I didn't have a problem with it splitting at all. It is a bit fuzzy, so un-doing stitches can be a bit of a mess, but that is to be expected. As I usually use worsted or bulky yarn, this seemed pretty thin, but still sturdy and fairly easy to work with. Now I just need to come up with another project so I can buy more!

DON'T RECOMMEND FOR BEGINNERS!
If I were a beginner this yarn might make me quit trying to learn crochet. For experienced hookers, you'll love the way it works up.It is GORGEOUS and SUPER SOFT. I cannot wait to make shawls and scarves with it. Save yourself a lot of headache and MAKE A SWATCH BEFORE YOU COMMIT to a project. I did 2 small (12st, 12row) swatches to compare stitches for a freehand project and it was a little chaotic. This yarn is thin and knots easily, even when it knots into a slip knot, it will rarely unknot itself with a simple pull. Work the knot out before you pull it into a knot so small and tight it takes 3 minutes to work out.It is also FUZZY. Which means even if it isn't technically tangled, if it rubs against itself at all there is an 85% chance that it will trap enough fuzz to adhere to the other strand(s). May the odds be ever in your favor. You might not want to attempt to use it out of the bag as a center-pull like I did. Roll that bad boy into a ball before you start.

Lovely
Oooo, soft, pretty, shimmery without any scratchy metallic threads. Easy to work with. No tangles, no knots, no splitting. Seems thinner than a DK, as it's called, but that's ok. I bought the Electric Blue and Dark Walnut to try first. Both very soft and pretty.

Extremely Inconsistent
With a multicolor pack, the yarn I got feels soft, but it often gets thinner or thicker, and the thin bits feel like they could easily be pulled apart if I'm not careful. The fuzziness makes it nearly impossible to frog more than your most recent stuff if you aren't extremely careful though, so if it breaks it won't easily unravel. It's pretty and shiny, overall decent yarn, especially for use as an accent color for finished pieces. When I got a pack of 4 of the same color it was an entirely different story. It's thicker and scratchier and with that texture I don't want to use it for anything I will be wearing, and I can't use it in the project I started with the multi pack. I got the dark blue pack for that, and the labels on all of the balls of yarn are identical to the multicolor ones, despite the weight and fibers clearly being different. Seems like this yarn is a gamble. I can recommend the metallic pack, and the blue-silver-black one, but otherwise it seems like it might be a gamble of getting thicker horribly scratchy yarn or thin soft slightly weak yarn.

Really 4.5 stars, but...
Everyone who has seen and touched this yarn raves over it. They are not yarnies, however. I think it is beautiful, it knits and crochets up well, but as a roving yarn, it may not wash and wear well without extra care. Also, the red yarn is a bit washed out, not as vibrant as the other colors, and also a bit thinner (perhaps I got a bad batch?)Nevertheless, I have reordered several times. The olive green is stunning! I am using this yarn to make Christmas ornaments, thus I am not worried about wearability. The yardage is good value, and I have not found that the yarn tangles when drawing from the skein center. Retro-glam does not split easily.

Gorgeous and Lightweight
I have bought this yarn in three colors now, and twice in the colors that I’m showing in the photos. If I see it on sale, I will buy it whether I have a project in mind or not, because although I normally like to work with four weight or thicker yarn, this is so beautiful and the projects come out just stunning.I don’t know if I agree that this is a true DK, it feels almost like a sock weight yarn, it’s closer to a two maybe than a three, but if you’re using it for a shawl like I did, or a scarf, it’s so soft and drapes so beautifully, especially if you use a hook size larger than a yarn of this weight might recommend. I have not had a problem with it splitting. I have not had a problem with it breaking.Absolutely beautiful.

What a stunning color!
This is exactly as shown. I'm new to crochet, so I purchased this as my first piece (at the time unknowingly that I need a much thicker yarn count (but that's a me mistake). I can't wait to get better skilled with yarn to find a reason to use this one. What a stunning color. Did not disappoint.

So soft and pretty
I have only just started using this yarn (made myself a test swatch) and am very excited to turn it into a cardigan. It is very soft, and the colour is gorgeous. It's the thinnest yarn I've ever worked with (I'm a new knitter, and have mostly used worsted yarn) so I'm a little scared I'll manage to break it somehow, but that's a me-problem, not a yarn-problem!
