I bought this because the spec shows transponder chip. After it was cutted and programmed, it would not start the car. Then it was tested for transponder and the test came back negative, no transponder in the key. Now I have a very expensive spare key that won't start the car.

Yes I had to have a locksmith program it but much cheaper than the dealership and these do everything that the OEM key does.

The website states that this FOB will work for a 2012 Honda Pilot. It also states that it will not operate the trunk properly for the Touring Model only. In our case we do not have the Touring Model we have an EX-L. The purchased Key FOB will not lift the trunk/hatch as the original does. After paying to have the key cut and programmed we were informed that the FOB would not lift the trunk/hatch door and after comparing the two FOB's realized they were not the same (see picture) The original FOB shows an SUV trunk/hatch and the key that was shipped shows a car trunk not an SUV. Very disappointed that everything does not work as it should.
