Gerard Butler stars in this surfing drama. Great film, emotional, heart warming and you don't need to be into surfing to enjoy it.
LOVE this film, it is such a great story and you don't have to be into surfing to enjoy it. Excellent acting, sub stories going on throughout the film and lots of moments for laughing and tears. We've watching this many times but thought I'd finally review it.

Great Surfer Movie.
Came across this Movie while browsing for 3D films. Three years since its release so was going for a great price. What a great choice as this is a great movie, based apparently on a true story. Well worth the purchase and the soundtrack, especially the tidal wave scenes, had my wireless sub-woofer working overtime.

Brilliant and inspriring
What an inspirational lovely film - You can take a lot of advice from this in the way the fim was portrayed... a little shocked right at the very end but very lovely and moving through out - also the fact it was based on a true story which we love.

Best Surfing Movie!
I've seen quite a few surfing movies (or supposed surfing movies) but what I love about this one is that it actually hits my emotions. People can get very critical and technical when it comes to specific genre movies and sometimes miss the big picture. For me, the story (based on true story) was great, interesting and believable - taking me back to days I spent hanging out at the beach. I thought the surfing scenes were good and the soundtrack was awesome. Will watch this one over and over for years to come!

a GREAT surfing true story
This is a true story. Gerard Butler,Frosty, is a strong yet humble character who trains a fatherless boy to surf the most ENORMOUS waves......the wonders of creation !. The photography takes your breath away,the awesomeness of the sea and surfers. There is everything to like about this film,nothing to dislike. Top marks

Ganz toller Film!!!
Mavericks ist ein richtig toller Film. Hatte den Film eher zufällig angesehen, weil Gerard Butler mitspielt, doch der Film hat mich vollends überzeugt. Richtig gute Darsteller, fesselnde Story und atemberaubende Bilder machen diesen Film zum Highlight in Sachen Surferdrama. Das Bild und der Ton der Blu-ray sind sehr gut.

Storia vera ed seguente incredibili.
Pur non conoscendo l’inglese mi sono arrangiato con i sottotitoli sempre in inglese.Nonostante ciò un film fantastico e coinvolgente.
