This is a perfect fake tan for someone who is looking for something that ticks all the boxes. You can definitely rely on this fake tan to produce all the results you want. It would be a great investment for an occasion where you can't afford for anything to go wrong.The product is easy to apply. A little goes a long way so you don't have to worry about using loads of product for just one use. This is great since it costs a lot of money for one bottle. I could get at least 4 uses before it runs out.It provides an even coverage and is streak free. I can't believe how natural it looks on my skin. It honestly looks as though I've been to a sun bed or been on holiday.It has a lovely natural colour. The tan is designed to have a more olive colour than regular tans (which can look orange and fake). It means that it's not too obvious that you are wearing fake tan and provides a natural glow that could be achieved on holiday.The colour lasts for a few washes before wearing off and it wears off evenly. I haven't noticed any flakiness that I have when wearing cheaper brands of tan.The scent is pleasant and fresh. It reminds me of Jo Malone's French Lime Blossom Colonge. There is a slightly noticeable fake tan scent as it develops but it is not as intense as other fake tans I have tried. The fresh scent lingers too though, meaning that the fake tan scent is mostly covered up.Would highly recommend this to someone who needs a trustworthy tan for an event such as a wedding. This tan guarantees good results without any unfortunate mishaps!

This stuff smells insane! It has a slight hint of application/guide colour to guide you but i wouldn't rely on this as it blends in very fast. It is a light gel formula its so easy to glide on just take a bit more time to get your application perfect.There's an amazing deep tone to it which make you look like you've been in the Caribbean. i love how if you're wanting a light tan you can shower after 45mins but honestly this is the type of product I'd apply and leave the house in and let develop during the day.I wear self tan a lot so to me I'd advise beginners or those who struggle with the application to avoid this one.If you're naturally medium - dark this will be an incredible top up.Well worth the money, luxury all over.

This is the best self tanner I have tried however it really is for people used to fake tan application . Firstly it smells nice for once, a kind of nice melon smell . One thing I hate about fake tanning is the smell , despite trying all th bigger brands I still have a horrible smell that doesn't leave after I wash fake tans away and gets worse when I perspire. To find a fake tan that actually has a nice refreshing smell is amazing .It has a gel consistency and a very slight tint , so you have no real guide colour . I would recommend using a tan mitt to apply and applying from toes upwards in sweeping motions . It dries much quicker and less sticky than other tanners I have tried, I iusually use good quality tanning products . So you can easily put your clothes on and move around very soon. Lots of self tanners say this but this genuinely absorbs really well into the skin.I'm pale so I decided to just apply for an hour before showering off, but you leave on for two hours for a medium tan and 3 hours for a deep tan . It showered off well and I already had a slight tint developing . It's ideal for tanning and goin out or applying in the morning for evening. The first time I put it on I went to bed a few hours after and the tan worked really well, and the last time as I was more used to the application I applied in the morning and had a lovely glowing tan in the evening .It really is a fantastic self tanner, smells, applies well and looks really great . It's definitely the best I have tried , for every area but especially as it looks so natural and great and I don't have a horrible lingering smell.

First of all when using this you need to buy a mitt as it doesn't come with one, it's sort of a light coffee colour so you can see where it's going. It's been 6 hours since I put it on, I washed off after an hour, but you can hardly see any tan at all. I would have thought after 6 hours you would have noticed a big difference, but not on me. The smell doesn't actually smell like fake tan but it has a very intense smell I wouldn't say it was cucumber or melon as some reviewers have said just an overpowering fruity smell. Personally I'd prefer the fake tan smell. I does have a Moroccan oil in it so maybe that's the smell. I think you need to wash your hands thoroughly if you don't use a mitt, and you need to make sure the mitt is a good one as it soaks though cheap ones. I'm not really very impressed with this tan as I have used the ordinary one before and had great results, but not much from this one in 7 hours. Maybe I will notice a difference tomorrow but nothing so far just hint of a tan and I was worried as it is supposed to be Ultra dark, no fear of that. Goes on nicely though.

Excellent coverage, good colour, great colour in 2 hours, doesn't look patchy and fades well. Great that you can shower in a couple of hours, will definitely be buying again!

Brilliant self tan, but needs a little skill to apply without getting darker bits on tge usual places such as hands and feet but is a very good product.

Goes on smoothly and if applied evenly it looks really nice. I like the natural tan color and it lasts for the week! Don't forget to do your hands as my arms and hands were not matching. I am happy with the results and am really happy to be able to wash it off after an hour or so. I used on my face and did not break out:-)

I'd order this brand before and it was awesome. This one stained instead of tanned (I realize their own stains but the one that I use before looked like a real tan), and I've got a large container that I'll never touch again.

Goes on smooth. Best tip is to make sure you use a lotion to coat your dry skin before applying the tanner.

Not worth the money. Color was not authentic - still kind of orangy and still had a little bit of the tanning lotion odor.

It don't stay on all that well the color last about 2 days .... for price I don't recommend

I love this brand of self tanner. It has a cooler tone to it than other brands that I’ve tried so it is much less orange. The easiest way to apply it is with a tanning mitt. I like to apply it with a tanning mitt and then go back over my whole body once more with the mitt to make sure it’s all even. Tanning mitts can be purchased separately, I use the one sold by the same brand.Besides the tone and coloring being so nice, it fades so evenly. I think that is such a stand out feature about this tanner. I don’t get those unsightly, patchy spots. It just fades away evenly. It stays on for a good week and then I notice that I’m just lighter again. I am one of those pale-skinned redheads who never tan, only burn and then burn more. I have the WORST history with self-tanners. The last time I wore one was summer before last. We were traveling out of state to a dog show and all I took with me were capri pants to wear and when my friend saw the back of my calves, she said "what did you use to apply the stuff, one of those sponge cleaners for mini blinds?" Apparently, it was a bit streaky. And orange. And generally uneven. And darker around the ankle. Sigh.So the first thing you need to do is to buy the sponge glove that is offered for applying this product. It is a very nice "mitten," with some substance to it and you can easily use it for several applications. Important -- the glove needs to be rinsed off before first use to remove some sort of manufacturing process artifact and **then it needs to dry before you can use it.** And since the glove is not a flimsy throw-away, the drying takes a bit (I air-dried, unsure how it would last through the dryer).Next, PLAN your application. While some self-tanners require a lot of prep (loofah or other exfoliation, for example), this one recommends from 45 minutes to 3 hours of time between application and rinse off. (It doesn't say what happens if you just don't rinse it off, and I'm not the right person to be going all rebel on it to find out, so let us know if you decide to experiment, okay?) The product doesn't stay wet, so you can put on clothes and go do something in the interim, but you're going to have pretty strong self-tanner scent, so just plan your application time well. Unless you are very good at yoga, you will also need someone to help you apply to your back.The result is terrific. It is very even, with no dark spots over knees and other spots where the color usually concentrates, even though I did nothing special for those areas. Using the mitt, I was able to apply around the backs of my legs and even my traveling companion can't find fault with the self tan. The color is great, NOT AT ALL ORANGE, but a very natural-looking toasted-honey on my pale Iowa legs. Since I didn't have help, and because I plan to continue to spare the world any sight of my middle-aged midriff, I didn't apply to my torso. However, I am impressed that the product, when applied to my "farmer's tan" arms and shoulders, seems to have evened out that abrupt change in color that occurs just below the armpit level. So far, I've only applied the one "coat," but the instructions do indicate you can "build up" color over time.If you've ever used self-tanner, you are familiar with the scent. This product has a very light and pleasant version of it, but it is there, and, despite the rinse-off an hour and a half after initially applying the product and then a shower the next morning, I could still faintly smell that "baking" aroma the next day at work. No one else commented on it, however, so it can't have been too bad...I am SO glad to have this product on hand for occasions when I may want to transition to shorts or capris again in the future.

I am an avid user of sunless tanning products and have used them since they first became available.*This is one of the best, least smelly tanning products I have used. The two products that I typically use because they don't streak, have such a strong scent that my entire family knows when I put it on and my husband hates it. I am always so careful of when I can apply it, which is typically right before bed, after my husband is asleep!*This product, Xen-Tan, I can apply anytime! No one in the family notices because they can't smell it....love it! It has a very, very light scent. I did notice that after having it on for about 4-5 hours, there was a little scent, similar to my typical tanners but very light. It must be the product processing on the skin. I don't think you can get around this.I like using the tanning mitt XEN-TAN Deluxe Tanning Mitt  with the gel/lotion. I used it slightly damp, applied the clear gel to it and smoothed it onto my skin. I was a little nervous because there was no way to tell if I had applied it to an area, just had to remember. The first time, I had a little streaking problem but it wasn't anywhere that it could be seen.Note: if you are fair skinned, you are supposed to apply & wash off after 45 min so that the tan is not too dark(they also have a light/med tanning formula XEN-TAN Transform Luxe Daily Tan, 8 fl. oz.  this is cheaper as well)**Over-all, I am so pleased with the natural color tone. There is no orange tint to the tan, it really looks nice!**Also, I love that it doesn't turn my sheets and clothes brown after I put it on, like many do! I think my one and only drawback for this tanner is the price.If it was even in the 40 dollar zone, I think it would be flying off the shelves. Xen-Tan is the best, and I love this Xen-Tan Transformation Ultra Weekly Tan. It smells pleasant (lightly fruity), it's easy to apply and produces natural and stunning results. This tanner is versatile and can produce a range of shades depending on how long you wait to rinse after application- just leave it on from 45 minutes to 3 hours and rinse depending on whether you want a light, medium or deeper tone. Color continues to develop for 10 hours.For my fair and untanned skin, at about one hour it's a perfect time to rinse. This tanner gives me a natural light to medium tone. This tanner has an olive undertone that seems perfect for my skin tone, and I love the natural healthy look this tanner gives my skin without any streaks. A mitt is recommended for an even application, though I apply this tanner with my hands and it still comes out even. The color lasts all week and fades evenly and gradually.I definitely recommend getting a Xen-Tan tanner. There are a number of awesome ones. This Transformation Ultra Weekly tanner works great, and I love that it provides the option of going for a lighter, medium or deeper tone depending on how long it's left on before rinsing.  XEN-TAN Mousse Intense Weekly Tan, 4 fl. oz.  was my favorite before trying this Transformation tanner as I really love its yummy vanilla scent, it's a leave on tanner that dries quickly and doesn't require rinsing and my fair skin consistently turns a natural looking golden tone every time. But it's a close call now that I've tried this tanner as they're both awesome, and I highly recommend this Xen-Tan Transformation Ultra Weekly Tan too. XEN-TAN Mousse Intense Weekly Tan, 4 fl. oz.

This is a wonderful sunless self-tanning gel that doesn't have the yucky scent that the less expensive ones do. Xen-Tan's light cucumber melon scented gel is pleasant and leaves a medium to medium dark tan depending on your skin tone and how long you leave it on.The first time I tried it I applied it with a plastic-gloved hand and the separately available mitt on the larger, smoother areas of my body (legs, arms, chest). I just used the gloved hand for my face and it turned out nice and even thanks to the tinted color of the gel. I left it on for about 3 hours as I wanted to see how dark I would get in this time. After showering, I had a nice, even color that looked like I'd laid out, without the dkin cancer risk or the red burn! It was a bit sticky for awhile after applying, about 45 minutes before I felt comfortable putting on loose fitting clothes but it was worth it. It was hard to wait the rest of the time to see the results but it is the price you must pay, unfortunately, and it is a lot less annoying than the self-tanners with the weird odor.My husband was surprised to see a suntanned me when he got home from work and thought I'd been outside all afternoon. Thank you Xen-Tan!With Fall here and Winter on the way, it's nice to know I don't have to be pasty white, go on vacation, or wait until Spring to have a natural looking tan. This is a bit pricey but not if compared to the cost of a spray tan and you can get at least 3 or 4 body tans from one tube, and more if you don't do your whole body. This is depending on your size, of course.I had a nice, natural color for the week with daily showers. I didn't have stained clothing or bedding. Love it!

I'm still a relative newbie to self-tanning lotions, though I do love getting a sunless tan at a local salon so I'm pretty familiar with the type of results you achieve and how long it lasts. This was also my second time trying a XEN-TAN product so this time, I was a little more comfortable with application and more familiar with the brand itself.The big selling point for this tanning lotion is that it looks 'ultra natural.' And having tried it, I have to agree. In general I do think self-tanning products have improved a lot since I initially dabbled with them in my teens. The results then were enough to scare me away FOR YEARS since the results were very orange and streaky. The results of this product, to my eye, look much less orange and closer to a real tan. I've actually been impressed with how close the color is to what I get when I go the higher end self-tanning salon in Chicago where the tanner is airbrushed on by a professional. What I do prefer though about having it done there vs. with this product at home is that I generally opt for the clear solution that has no bronzer mixed in. That means I don't have to worry about getting color on my clothes or furniture while I wait for the tan to set. At home though I do think the added bronzer is necessary to help you keep track of where you've applied and where you haven't. (If my experience with sunscreen is any indication I would probably miss spots otherwise.) My solution to this has generally been to drape a blanket or towel over any furniture and to wear lose fitting clothes I can wash. Thankfully I'm also going for a lighter tan so I generally only leave this on for an hour.Of other things I appreciate, the smell is mild and totally pleasant. And it's easy enough to apply this with a mitt, though I do get some help from my boyfriend for my back and other hard to reach places.Overall I think this is great product and a perfect option if you want a natural looking sunless tan at home.

The Transformation Ultra is a thick, creamy lotion with almost no unpleasant chemical odor that I find with some self-tanners. Instead, it had a cucumber melon scent. I found it a bit too sweet and strong, but far better than the smell of chemicals.The lotion is thick and easy to apply. However, it goes on sheer and does not provide an instant tan like some of the other XEN-TAN products, and I ended up missing a spot the first time I used it. I applied it with the  XEN-TAN Deluxe Tanning Mitt . It is not necessary to use the mitt, but it did a nice job keeping my hands clean and was easy to rinse out. The mitt is sold separately and lasts through multiple applications.This tanner reaches full color after about 10 hours. It takes about an hour to dry and does not rub off until it is rinsed with water. I waited the full time before rinsing it off and the result was a deep, dark color tan which lasted almost a week. It faded naturally until the last few days when it became a little splotchy.I tried again, this time only leaving the tanner on for an hour before rinsing. The color was much nicer this time and more in line with my normal skin tone. And this time it faded evenly.I've tried many tanning products over the years with varying levels of success and find that XEN-TAN makes some of the best. XEN-TAN Deluxe Tanning Mitt

I have never used artificial tanners before, so have no way to compare this product to others. I have tanned in the sun in the past and have used tanning beds. This product gives a pretty good tan. I have had a skin cancern taken of my nose so I now avoid the sun as much as possible which means this is about my only choice for getting a tan.Applying it with the tanning mitt (separate purchase) was pretty easy. I just had to make sure I had good coverage. Doesn't take much and I went over each area two or three times to make sure I didn't miss any spots. My wife applied it to my back. The color in the gel goes away pretty quickly so you can't use that to judge how well you have applied it. I just had to concentrate and be careful.I lift it on two hours and got a reasonable tan. Not too dark and not too light. Seemed to be a fairly natural color.Seems a bit expensive to me. Of course, not as expensive as having a skin cancer removed. I normally wear a t-shirt and shorts so I will probably use it in the future on just those sking areas that are exposed. I rarely swim any more, so don't really need it for that.All in all a good experience. Just a bot on the expensive side.

I rated XEn Tan transformation ultra weekly tan 4 stars because it is a good self-tanner. The smell is nice and not over powering and eventually subsides. I like light applications because it gives me a more natural look on my fair skin but I could see this being applied twice, once its completely dry if someone wants a more dramatic tan.I used the corresponding mitt and it was really great for easy, fast application. Prior to my first application, I followed the directions to rinse out the mitt before application to avoid any velour byproduct that might have been on. I thought this mitt was a microfiber, which would have dried quickly, but it is not and took way longer (a few hours) to dry completely. I also like the color of the mitt, brown, because it will stain if it was a lighter color.Overall, Xen-tan transformation ultra weekly tan is a good self-tanner. It produces a nice color, is paraben free and contains cool ingredients like broccoli seed! Note, I make sure to exfoliate and apply lotion my dry areas like feet, heels, knees, elbows prior to applying this tanner for a better appearance.

The XEN-TAN transformation ultra weekly tan is a bit different than most self tanners. You apply the lotion then depending on how dark you want your color, you wait anywhere from 45 minutes to three hours to let it develop before washing it off. This makes it the most complicated self tanner I have used and takes a real commitment to getting a decent result.The end result was a nice, rich color but for me not worth the time consuming application process. The cost is also a deterrent even though this is a quality product. I would use this in anticipation of a special event but it's too much work to use as my regular self tanner. The quick drying time of the XEN-Tan mousse fits my lifestyle much better with comparable results.
