Compared to clear Colace stool softener, this Welly product is a real bargain! Plus the Colace are just 50 mg tabs, and this Welly clear tab is 250mg. Makes it even more of a bargain. It is great that it does not have the red dye in it. And to top it off--it does the job!

The top part of the packaging comes off with perforated plastic, but leaves horrible jagged edges. The interior safety seal was a pain to get off, there wasn’t a pull tab, and the aluminum part came away from the plastic and I had to jab it several times to get it off. Lastly, the instructions are on a fold out piece of paper. Who does that? This is medication and should be clearly printed on the bottle so it remains on the bottle and not torn off. Also it doesn’t say this is to be taken by mouth on the instructions, but luckily I have taken this medication before and know it is an oral capsule.Not sure about the effectiveness of the medication, that is yet to be seen.

Didn't work as good as I thought

These work great if your just a little backed up and need a little extra support. If your really hurting your gonna need something much stronger then these.

Comparable to other OTC brands on the market. They aren’t any better nor worse compared to others I have used. The only difference would be that these are free from artificial flavors, dyes, parabens and talc.

This is a safe, gentle, very effective non-stimulant laxative. The active ingredient is docusate sodium, which works by drawing water into the bowel and softening the stool to promote a bowel movement. This is not a fast solution like a suppository or stimulant, it takes hours, but it’s painless and does not cause cramping or diarrhea. I take one at bedtime as needed to relieve occasional constipation, and by morning I am back on track, passing a normal stool and with no lingering effects. It’s a large softgel in a high 250mg dosage. For other brands the regular dosage is 100mg and 250mg is considered extra strength. Per the label it is safe for 12 and up, but I personally would not give this large of dose to a 12 year old, I would start with a 100mg softgel, which is also a lot smaller. Overall, for adult use, this is my first choice by far for constipation relief because it works and gets me back to normal with one dose and without painful and unpleasant side effects.
