Is not the same shoe as the previous Gel-Kayano 28
At some point they made a production change and this shoe is not the same as the previous model. The primary difference is it has no tongue, but rather a perforated piece of elastic in place of a tongue. This elastic wraps around the whole foot which makes me uncomfortable. What it is now is essentially a slip on with laces as a decoration. I want complete control over how tight it is and you can't get it with this shoe.

Real good shoe
I pronate so getting a shoe that helps when I land and my ankle rolls in was essential. This shoe provides that. Pain on the interior of my knee is now gone.Bad - the tab on the heel to pull the shoe on has stitches that rubbed a blister on my Achilles.Different - elastic opening for your foot so no tongue like other shoes. You cannot just slide your foot into the shoe.

They messed up my favorite shoe
Like others, I ordered this to replace my Gel Kayano 27s. But, they are not constructed the same as all of the previous generations of this shoe that I have owned...the opening is stretch elastic that makes it harder to get the shoe on, and occasionally makes it too much pressure on my feet.I'm keeping them, and love the insole and pronation, but just wish they had a conventional opening and tongue.

Best Asics Shoe Ever. MK version is perfect!
Very comfortable and fit is perfect. MK version really helps holding the shoe to the leg. I have asics for 3 years now and this is the best ever. Kayano model does what it should, helping with overpronation. I recommend this pair of shoes. Also the shipping was very fast.
