Better than the CE-5 (IMHO)
This chorus pedal is incredibly dynamic and is a staple on my current pedal board, the bucket brigade circuitry is second to none and delivers crystal clear tone in the FX loop.I'm using this primarily with delay and the Ocean's 12 reverb pedal and they compliment each other beautifully. The pedal is incredibly dynamic and offers a range of incredible subtlety to super wet, rich chorus loveliness.Construction is absolutely nuclear proof and the finish is absolutely gorgeous, my one gripe is the super bright led featured on most of the MXR pedals, but it makes it fun when rocking out with the lights off, feels like you're on stage with a bright blue spotlight setting the mood.A staple, and a testament to all things ambient and lustrous. It's a proper sexy pedal, I love mine.

Purely Analogue
Bought this to go on my pedalboard after my old chorus pedal decided to give up.I needed a purely analogue one as everything on the board is analogue and is used solely with a valve amp to keep it all properly old school.Has a nice chorus effect that can be dialled up to unusble warbles, but for me its just to add a sublte depth to my sound and is a 'pementantly on' staple of my set up, so also wanted something that will last under constant use.As other reviewers have mentioned, its built like a tank so no fear of it getting damaged like a plastic pedal has the potential to.As for how long it will last, only time will tell but I will update my review if I ever need to buy another chorus pedal to replace it.Nice sound (and quiet for bucket brigade analogue) and solidly built. The only thing I didnt like was registering it on the website to activate the warranty. The process demanded far too much personal information that wasnt required for a warranty so I have left it unactivated and when I get a spare minute I will contact Dunlop cutomer services to see if I can activate the warranty without giving up my postal address, email address, mobile telephone number, etc. etc. which seemed more geared towards marketing than warranty activation, when date/proof of purchase and an email address would suffice.I, like a lot of people, am inundated with communication I neither want or need and didnt want another barrage of spam mail, emails, phone texts, etc. as punishment for buying a pedal, in the attempt to sell me more stuff.

Wear a welding mask!
I'm really happy with this pedal, bought in pursuit of recapturing my younger daze listening to American hair metal bands of the 1980s!Gets the right effect on those clean, bluesy sounds paired with delay and reverb. Proper atmospheric!I wish one of the dials turned down the brightness of the blue 'on' light though. Great for directing landing aircraft but rather OTT on my pedal board.Mind you, 80s metal guitar was all about OTT!

Four Stars
Good chorus pedal. A bit noisy, but good flexibility to create the sound you want.

Great pedal, great price.
Perfect and exactly what I wanted, at the best price by a long way: €85 when I bought it. I don't usually buy pedals from Amazon but the price on this was way below everywhere else. The pedal itself when used at my own preference is very warm and full but subtle at the same time. It is more than capable of going full-on cheesey '80s chorus but that's not its gimmick by any means. The build quality is just like the sound quality: suberb. I'd absolutely recommend this, especially at this price.

It's blue and it's beautiful
This pedal lives up to all expectations, with a huge range, from subtle chorus to extreme babbling. The clarity at all degrees is superb. Add to this that the build quality is fantastic and you've got proper value for money!

Disappointed
Bought this pedal twice now, both didn’t work. First one, didn’t light up or have any signal at all. Second lights up, and fuzzy signal through pedal. Horrible

Quality chorus from MXR
This Analog Chorus by MXR is perfect for that original ‘Bucket Brigade’ sound. The unit itself is solid and sturdy, indicative of that typical MXR build quality. One issue I can comment on is that this pedal is not true bypass, meaning your tone will be slightly affected even when the pedal is bypassed. I put this down to being a characteristic of the pedal, though, and because I love the the tone this pedal creates I can see way beyond it!
