Do these open easily because the ones from hanger world are very hard to open

I've not had a problem with the hangars opening or gripping clothes on them. The metal hook doesn't turn though

Does the metal part swivel at all?

Yes, the metal hanging hook does swivel.

how wide is the hanger from side to side?

15 inches and the clips open wide to take thicker material. Hope this helps?

What is the dimension of the hangers from the top of the clip to the top of the hook?

I have just measured the area from the top of the clip to the top of the hook and it is in inches 3 and 3/8th inches or 8 and 1/2 cms.Hope this helps -
