Sturdy, High-Quality C Stand - A Must-Have for Any Studio!
The NEEWER Pro 100% Stainless Steel Heavy Duty C Stand exceeded my expectations in every way. The quality is outstanding—the stainless steel construction feels solid and durable, giving me confidence in its longevity. The weight of the stand is perfect; it provides incredible stability, even when supporting heavier equipment like monolights, softboxes, and reflectors. The boom arm and grip heads are well-designed and hold everything securely without slipping, making adjustments a breeze. The maximum height of 10.5 feet is more than enough for most studio setups, and the versatility it offers is impressive. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with this stand. It’s a professional-grade product that performs flawlessly and has become an essential part of my studio gear. Highly recommended for photographers and videographers who need reliable and sturdy equipment!

Reach for the sky.
This was the main frame for the art work overhead photography. Easy to assemble, very sturdy but not light, it needs this weight to ensure sturdiness.perfect size for what I needed, very versatile, it can be extended quite high . Would recommend.

Heavy weight - easy to set up - looks stylish
I had bought a Neewer stand for my light and 85cm octobox, but it wasn't strong enough so returned easily via Amazon. Read a few reviews and went for this one. It is great and feels really robust. Exactly what I need, and look stylish enough for it to stay up in my small studio space.

Super quality and great value C-stand
To be honest, the quality of what arrived surprised me, given the price. I'm very happy with my fist C-stand purchase, and may well be back for more when we move to a bigger space. This is not my first Neewer product, and all have been excellent.

Not a true C-stand but still good value as a heavy duty stand. I would pick this over a standard heavy duty lighting stand.
I've only docked a star because it's not a true C-Stand as the legs can't be moved up or down the shaft to place on uneven surfaces, such as a step. Because the image looks almost identical to what a real C-stand would look like, someone might think they're nabbing a bargain as Avenger stands cost in the region of £200. Despite this, I think it's a great value heavy duty stand. Firstly it's incredibly heavy due to its stainless steel construction, certainly overkill for speedlites, but the weight of these stands means that not only can you attach a good monobloc strobe with a heavy light modifier, but the stand is also rigid enough to use a superclamp to hold other things, like a reflector holder. The legs, though not independent, rotate out with a little force and fans out, just make sure you use the supplied allen key to loosen the legs first, otherwise they will not move. When fanned out, they provide a smaller footprint than a tripod-style stand. Very versatile in this regard. Should you need extra stability, you can drape a sandbag over the large leg. The boom arm is also solidly constructed. The clamps are firm when tightened and will stay in position should you know best practice. It has a stud-like shape at either end to attach your strobes or accessories. When attached to the stand you should always use the boom on the right of the clamp and the arm should be pointing in the same direction as the largest leg. This allows the weight of the arm to drop down in the "tighty" direction and will be supported with the best leg. Lastly, the actual stand portion itself. It slots into the leg section separately, so it can be detached for storage purposes, but if you own a few, you can just rotate the legs around and stack them against each other. Find Shane Hurlbut's video on youtube for this method. It is padded towards the top so you can have a good grip on the stand if you don't like the touch of cold steel. It's two sections, like in the picture and will extend to just over 3 metres. If you point the boom arm straight up, it will be over 4m, just make sure you get someone to hold the stand for stability! Be careful when undoing the knobs for the sections, they will shoot up like a rocket because of the heavy duty springs inside (to minimise shock to your lights should you just allow it to drop when you undo the knob without securing the section) and you don't want any part of your body or fragile items to be in the way of this. All in all, better value and more versatile, in my humble opinion, than air cushioned tripod varieties. It's very heavy but if Brexit causes the country to turn to some post-apocalyptic nightmare, you can detach the stand from the legs and use it to defend youself from roving biker gangs who might steal your gear and/or your woman. Maybe I should have given it 5 stars?

Solid piece of kit
For the price you get a solid piece of kit. I bought this with a tripod ball head, and an adaptor spigot to allow me to mount my camera for overhead shooting/animation purposes; rather than it's obvious intended purpose of studio lighting. I know some people in their reviews have complained about the grip of the teeth/wearing for the joints, but to be honest, it does come with some brief instructions that indicate you should support the weight of the arm when adjusting those joints, so they don't grind and wear themselves. Adjusting with care will certainly prevent any issues in that respect. For holding a camera, there's not really much need for any sandbags to hold it steady, though you could if you want to be extra sure. The weight of the stand is sufficient to hold that sort of weight; obviously anything heavier you'll want bags to hold it in place. The legs also fold around to all be on the same plane for storage purposes, and easily open and click in to place when needed. Overall, a lot more solid and sturdy than I was expecting.

Solid and secure!
Decided to buy this particular stand after an incident with a client's child who ran about in the studio and knocked a tripod over. It made me realise that maybe I needed a stand which is much more stable and this has certainly been the right purchase to make! It is very solid and sturdy as mentioned in the listing itself and I am confident about assembling light and heavier equipment on it without the stand becoming unstable. I would certainly recommend this for these features and feel more confident with children in the studio.

Amazing product at this price!
Well this little beauty took me by surprise! Very solid and well constructed and easily better than the other stands I have that cost around the £140 mark. The fact the base can be separated from the upright is handy for storage and transporting, also the foam grip on the main column makes handling much nicer, just a nice touch which my other stands don't have. A massive thumbs up for Neewer on this one! If you need a C Stand, this is a no brainer, I will be getting more of these for sure!
