Simple yet effective step. Quite stable.

Bought to reduce height of back door step. Serve the purpose very well. They reduce the height by half. Very safe and feel secure. Good value.

I appreciate that this is advertised as an "outdoor" step, but I needed one to help me climb into my bed and also into my shower unit, which has a higher than usual step-in. Item is a great help for both purposes, the one downside (and hence knocked off 1 star) is the very prominent knobbly surface - presumably intended to be an effective non-slip step surface for outdoor wet and/or icy conditions, but a bit uncomfortable on the feet when wearing slippers or indeed just socks, indoors. Very pleased with the effectiveness of the step though, a big help now I'm a bit less agile.

Purchased for my parents as the home-made wooden step finally succumbed to 20 years of woodworm and the rain.... I chose this particular listing as it was needed next day; and as this item was offered with Amazon Prime delivery, this ensured we got it next day - yes you can get it cheaper but sometimes the delivery time is more important.Their doorstep is about 20cm (8 inches) high and with the onset of arthritis and old age is an effort for them to step up this high. This step is approximately 10cm high so cuts the effort in half. The texture/bobbles on the top ensures any mud doesn't make the step slippery, also there are drain holes to prevent water creating a puddle on the top too.Just a tip - ensure the ground is firm and level at all four corners to ensure it doesn't tilt when someone infirm stands on it as this could cause a fall.

I have this outside the patio door. It is very strong and sturdy. But when it rains, puddles form on the top of the step, in between the nobbles, so if you step on it it's like stepping in a puddle. I have taken to lifting one edge of the step before I use it so that the water runs off, but someone that can't bend couldn't do this.
