Worth it!
For the money; you can not go wrong. I've gone from a 21inch (I think) 1080p to this 27inch 1440p and didn't think the difference would be this drastic.Firstly the move from 1080p to 1440p is just incredible. Both in gaming and general desktop use. The extra space is brilliant. I use adobe Lightroom/photoshop/premiere and has come in use using these programmes. For gaming the jump in resolution and screen size was both amazing. I remember booting up BF1 on it and I was just like "wowww". I just didn't know what to expect, but it blew me away!As for the screen itself. Stand, display surround etc are of good quality. Not premium, but you're not paying premium prices. They're good. Once it's set up your unlikely to touch it again so not exactly important. The screen is good, nice colour reproduction, viewing angles aren't great - coming from IPS to TN I could tell. HOWEVER this was me testing th viewing angles by standing and hovering around the screen. When I'm gaming; I'm sat facing straight on; so I don't understand why people get hung up on viewing angles if using it for gaming/single monitor set up. So yes, TN have reduced viewing angles, but stop playing games facing it at 45degrees and you'll do just fine!Brightness.... very! It's very bright. I've never had a screen that offers so much brightness. The old LG 1080p I had cranked up nearly all the way. Ive had to turn the brightness way down on this screen and it's still vividly bright! I'd say the brightness is higher than the LG and yet the setting is at around 20% vs LGs 80%. So a huge difference.Speakers. There a bit meh. They're not great. They'll do for your windows "pings" etc. If your watching videos, playing games etc I found the speakers to be way too quiet. But chances are you'll have a speaker set up or headphones. I was happy for a monitor without speakers, so fact these had some was a bonus even though they're not great.Lastly, price. For what you get you aren't going to get better until your doubling the price.

Almost faultless
I spent ages looking for a decent 1440p monitor which wouldn't break the bank. I settled on this one, a little worried having never heard of the brand nor being able to pronounce it - it sounds like Llama. However, I had nothing to worry about! The monitor was packaged well, I only needed to screw in the base with the provided three thumb screws. The display quality is superb, the image is sharp and the colours really vivid - a huge step up from 1080p. The response times seem good as well, and the brightness is very strong, I've had to keep it to about 50% as it begins to hurt my eyes after a while. It came pre-calibrated so I didn't need to tweak anything much, however there are extensive options should you wish to make some changes. I was also really impressed by the stand, an area which is usually the first suffer when the price drops. It's got a lot of flexibility in terms of positioning, something which it's rivals definitely do not. You can, if you wish, rotate the screen a full 90 degrees into portrait. It also has AMD's Freesync should you have a compatible graphics card - which should in theory smooth out any screen tearing. I have a gtx970 so sadly cannot comment on this - it wasn't a massive factor when I purchased the monitor really - it's a shame the Nvidia Gsync monitors are so extortionate. Perhaps I'll change my GPU in the future to make use of this feature, but not any time soon. I use the monitor for work and some gaming, and it performs admirably at both.A couple of negative points:- The instructions are laughably poor, they're in so many different languages and none of them make a lot of sense. But to be honest, it doesn't require a manual. It is basically plug and play.- It's not the prettiest monitor out there, but I'm not bothered. It's a functional piece of technology, not an art installation.

Good Display, Recommended
It’s been a few months since I bought it and I am very happy with it. I have Dell U2725H Ultrasharp (IPS) which cost almost twice as this one so I will compare those two. I using Dell for color sensitive work with photography or rendering . iiyama is better in games as TN panel response is twice or three times better than IPS. Games like Quake or other fast paced shooters look clear without visible ghosting. 70Hz @ 1440p really helps within eye fatigue. There is a visible difference during web browsing, texts are cleaner while scrolling than on Dell. Colour accuracy is sufficient for normal use such as watching YouTube or Netflix or browsing the web. Text editors look ok. MsWord Looks almost identical at arms length from the screen with maybe a little bit crisper fonts on Dell. I do a lot of programming and Visual Studio looks good on both of them. There is visible differences in colour rendition between those panels and no amount of calibration will completely remove it - but that’s expected trade offs as IPS and TN are different technologies. I would buy it again and probably will when extending to three monitors - given that I already have screen for colour work.

Great picture but average sound
I like this monitor a lot, mainly for its size, resolution, picture quality and how the stand facilitates easy adjustment without being slack. The sound quality is average and I have not found the USB audio interface to be entirely reliable. (This is on an Intel core i5-4xxx laptop running Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit.)If you want to use the facility to rotate the monitor between portrait/landscape orientation during use but with USB cables connected then you'll need to pay attention to how much cable you've got spare and where the cables run, as you can end up with them getting damaged if they become snagged or stretched.
