NCIS: Season 13 [DVD]

Purchased through Amber Gold (excellent service).All previous Seasons given a well-deserved 5 stars.So, what is my concern after viewing only the first 4 Episodes?With adverts stripped away the producers have 40 minutes to re-acquaint us with the characters we know and love, remind us of their close and humorous exchanges, and give us enjoyable, intriguing storylines.TBH, I'd struggle to remember much of anything in the Episodes watched, and am finding it difficult to connect to the characters - something which has never been the case in previous Seasons.The interactions between the characters lacks any genuine 'sparkle', and the storylines seem designed to fit into the limited time rather than to give the Episode any 'meat'.The one star rating will - hopefully - be restored to 5 after watching the rest of the Season (which I'm resisting the urge to rush as Season 14 is a long way off from release).Still the best crime show on TV, so I'm expecting to post a more positive review and give it the 5 stars I've always given previous Seasons.Back to 5 stars.Whatever I felt after the first 4 Episodes dispelled, although, perhaps inevitably, it may lose viewers following Tony's departure - which is another reason to buy this Season.

Dispatch and delivery by Newtownvideo of these Region 1 dvd's was excellent. They even e-mailed me before dispatch to confirm I would need a player capable of playing the region 1 discs. They arrived before the anticipated date, in pristine condition, and were faultless. The series itself matched the quality of the previous twelve series. Ok, there was the odd episode where the storyline was a little weak, but as always the good acting and excellent characterisation made the whole series enjoyable to watch. No spoilers, but this was the series in which DiNozzo takes his leave and the final twist was both unexpected and surprising. It will be interesting to see how series 14 deals with the loss of his character and whether NCIS can maintain its momentum. I understand there is definitely commitment to series 14 and 15, but who knows after that.

Excellent series.

Acting is excellent and very comical.

I've been an avid NCIS viewer since Season One and its remarkable how consistently good the show has been. I've not followed the other NCIS spin-offs and I'm (kinda) warming to NCIS New Orleans. Mark Harmon remains an excellent central figure ably supported by the likes of the quirky Pauley Paurette and ever-watchable David McCallum. I didn't feel the running story this season was as strong as previous years but, let's be honest, we're really watching this for the characters and the actors.

NCIS goes from strength to strength, with continually new and interesting storylines. This season however doesn't finish on a hell of a cliff hanger like some previous but in fact ends on a sad note.NCIS continues introducing new and interesting characters as well as having appearances from previous series along with what I think is another boat in Gibbs' basement (I've lost track)

We have always loved NICS.We have to say that Disc 3 will not play all the way through.So we do not get the continuity of the whole story.We did also buy the season 14.Where we are half way though,every thing seems ok with the disc's so far.On the whole we are pleased with our purchase.

Enjoyable to get to know Gibbs and all the wiser NCIS agents. Very entertaining
