Will this work on a 2019 jeep

If it has the 4 way flat you can or if jeep has pig for that purpose near the back bumper

What gauge wire is used?

It looks like it is about 18 gauge. A little lighter than I would have wanted. I wired it with a 20 amp fuse and have not had any problems with overheating wires. I am pulling a medium sized camping trailer with full lights, in-line brake controller, and 3 wireless cameras.

Will the lights work if I don’t use the brake wires?

Since it sounds like you don't need the brake output you can leave the additional connections disconnected. All you will need to do is plug in your existing 4-way to the 4-way plug on the adapter. Once this is done, the 7-way connector will have the functionality of your 4-way. However, if your towed vehicle equip with brake light, you will still need to splice the brake wire to keep all function works. Thank you MECMO Service Team
