The laptop was very well protected by an inflated “air bag”. The instructions were concise, but wholly adequate providing all the information needed to commission the laptop including a genuine MS Windows activation software key code.My initial inspection left me very pleased as the machine was in excellent overall condition and supported by a detailed diagnostics report.Using the machine for the first time was just like operating a brand new laptop and went without a hitch including the machine automatically loading all the Widows software updates. After a couple of weeks getting used to Windows 10 software I decided to download what is effectively the first service pack i.e. the creators upgrade. Again all went well.Having used the machine for almost a month I can honestly say I am delighted. The Lenovo ThinkPad is built like a battleship. It certainly would be very unlikely to win any prizes for its looks, but when it comes to substance rather than style to my mind it takes the honours every time. It's build quality, processor power/speed, screen and keyboard are simply first class.Overall an outstanding purchase.Yes it's 5 years old but its rather like a five year old AMG Mercedes Benz or a BMW 3, M series.
