Spirit Golden Vanilla Eau de Parfum 30 ml

I've never been a great fan of perfume, I tend to find that most have a generic kind of base to them and it's something I don't appreciate. Some twelve years ago a friend sprayed some Gloria Cacharel on herself in a department store while shopping for perfume and rejected it instantly as "too sweet". I, however, was captivated by the rich vanilla smell and ended up buying some myself. When that ran out I replaced it, but the next time I was ready to purchase I discovered it to be discontinued and I began a quest to find something similar. Many recommendations have been made, but scent is a difficult thing to describe or reproduce and nothing came close - in fact most of the suggestions I was given led me to things that smelt much the same with that generic musky undertone.With this, at a very low price, I've discovered something close enough. As other reviewers have said, this scent is nothing like as long lasting as pricier alternatives, but I have found that by using it heavily it does linger for the entire day. The smell is quite strongly vanilla, but it has something I'd call lemony mixed in. That fades faster than the vanilla aspect in my experience, and I'm happy with the purchase.I will be stocking up on this, while my quest for a better alternative closer to my ideal continues, as I have no intention of paying the Ebay prices of over £100 for the "real thing".As such, I would recommend it for those looking for a sweeter scent, and something that stands out from the usual offerings at the perfume counter, but advise caution if you want something that will linger well.

Beautiful vanilla smell not synthetic, but made me hungry!!

Smells wonderful. However because it is vanilla it won't be a heavy lasting scent so you will need to top up during the day. Very nice day scent though which I enjoy.

I love the scent of vanilla and I wanted something for everyday I could wear to work. It smells of vanilla but I can’t smell the lemon at all, it smells a tad bit of spices as well. This is definitely an autumn/winter scent as I think it’s too strong for spring and summer. At first it smells quite strong and it fades throughout the day and by the end of the day it doesn’t smell or vanilla at all.This is a great perfume for everyday if you don’t want to waste your expensive perfumes for the normal day. Only thing is you can’t put too much on, because due to the smell fading throughout the day it looses the scent of vanilla but starts to smell of that scentbyou have at a perfume store when you have sprayed too much of different sprays. But all in all an alright perfume.

Smells great, I love vanilla scents usually and if you do too you should definitely buy this. It's a sweet vanilla smell.

There is no perfume. I can't see if the glass is broken, there is not even a drop of it inside. Packaging paper on the other hand has a nice warm fragrance. Shame it's not going to be a gift to me for a women's day.
