Why have I waited so long to find this!
Best rodding implement ever. Our house is 140 years old and as such so are the drains, normally when needing to rod these drains (some visitor puts a tissue or wet wipe down the loo) the rods stick on every joint! And that's was a pain.NOT NOW, I have used this simple wheel attachment to rod the pipes twice now without it sticking once, it has cut the time down by half brilliant.

At last I can negotiate bends!
It's not perfect or particularly easy to use on the end of a ten foot rod, but it did what I wanted it to do - to get into a particularly awkward pipe and clear it. I had hoped it would also negotiate the bend into the pipe that led back up to the surface so I could remove it and add a brush (to thoroughly clean the pipe) but after half an hour or so of trying I made do with what I'd achieved (dislodging my own mini fatberg in the process).

Very useful
Amazon list drain clearing wheels from at least three suppliers and I bought all three "just in case" ! In fact they are three very different sizes ranging from 2.5cm (by Plumb-Pak) to 5.5cm (by Silverline) - the Bailey is half way between. As some of my (five !) sewer chambers are very deep, the angle makes it difficult/impossible to insert rods into the exit pipe, but with the Bailey wheel on the end to guide it there was no problem. The chamber being half full I could only guess at the location of the exit, but two prods and it began to flow - added more rods and a vigorous rummaging and away it all went.I chose the Bailey for my first attempt as it seemed the most appropriate size - and it did the job first go. The item is well made, promptly delivered and a very reasonable price. If you have awkward bends and angles in your drainage system. try one of these.

Try and find something else to go round corners underground
This is one of thoes funny tools that you only need to use now and again - but what else could you use to go round corners underground ??? Good idea to buy one and keep with your drain rods for that once in a blue moon.

Well made, and cleared our drain when the pros couldn't!
Well made, excellent for getting past those awkward joints that catch on some fittings.
