Great for the money and very compact
Very small and light. Easily fits into a pocket. This monocular has 10 times magnification which is about as high as you want to go without a tripod. Any more and the image would be too shaky. The 25mm lense gives a very small viewing window but unless you want something much bulkier, a small viewing window is the trade off for the compact size. There is a decent amount of eye relief meaning that they work well with glasses. Compared to my £100 7x50 binoculars, they are not as sharp. However this monocular is a fraction of the price and size. If you just want something not too expensive for taking a quick look at distant objects while hiking, they are perfect.

Hard not to like it
I'm happy enough with it after having used it for a couple of months now. What I like most about it is its portability. I can slip it into my pocket and pull it out wherever. When I'm using it I feel discreet, unlike a pair of binoculars which are bulky, fiddly and generally look creepy if it happens to be people that I'm watching from afar. I went bird watching for the first time and found it very enjoyable and mesmerising. It is the first monocular/binoculars that I've bought, so two things come to mind - 10x is not a huge amount. Like you can definitely make out events a bit further away clearly and to a level that you might not have otherwise. But it's not like a telescope zooming in massively to see something super close up or the expressions on people's faces (depends how far you're standing away but you get the gist). But that's also more or less what was expected. The quality appears excellent to me. The other thought is that it can be a bit shaky. So when you're really concentrating on something far away, you notice the movement of your hand. I understand now what people were saying when they say 8x is more steady. But that hasn't put me off it at all. It's a cool and fun contraption, a toy at this incredible price really, which allows you to see a little further away without much fuss. What's not to like.

value for money, poor quality
Good value for money. Obviously you can buy a much better monocular if you pay more. Upsides: Celestron is very small, easy to carry and use. Downsides: The images appear foggy. You have to focus at the center of the optic to get a clear image which is annoying and make it more difficult to use. For the money paid, its a honest product. If you seek quality, search elsewhere

Ridiculous quality/price ratio
I bought this monocular 40% discounted (around £15). I own a pair of Steiner binoculars, military-grade, around 40 times more expensive than this item and of course I was not expecting the quality to be near them, BUT... I can't believe how good it is. Obviously you can tell the difference between both, but for this price the quality is RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. I'm taking it with me at all times, even kayaking or doing any other activities. If I break or lose it... I don't mind! It was just 15 quid. Damaging my Steiner binoculars in the other hand would be a drama, and I'm not using them near water no matter what. Really happy (and surprised) with the purchase.

A dreadful product!
This item is absolutely dreadful and considering it was manufactured by Celestron it was most disappointing. Ok it is not the most expensive of monoculars but nevertheless it should be at least fit for purpose which it most definitely is not. The focus was a nightmare to try and get anything like a sharp image, there was excessive distortion towards the outer edges of the field of view, the overall image was dull & lacked contrast making focusing in low light conditions almost impossible, there was considerable flare from point light sources, and there appeared to be blooming towards the outer edges of the viewed image. I might have been unlucky and got a dodgey item but all those things put together I doubt it. This is just a poor product and my recommendation would be to avoid at all costs and spent a little more on a decent monocular. My kids poundland binoculars gave a better quality image and so I returned this item immediately.

Brilliant pocket sized monocular
The image was so clear and the magnification is brilliant. Fits in a pocket perfectly and is great for hiking and exploring the outdoors. It also feels very sturdy. No issues whatsoever

Lo agarré en oferta, me costó $418 pesos. Es de buen material, muy cómodo y fácil de transportar. Es un excelente producto para distancias cortas (unos 300-500 metros aproximadamente).

I just wanted a monocular which gave enough magnification to be useful and had a nice product quality. This exceeded my expectations and I was delighted when I took it out of its box as just felt more robust than I expected. It has a nice rubberized finish and the focus ring turns with a nice pressure which is not too easy and not too hard to turn. What I like best is the size of the lens on the eye piece. Other monocular eye lens are smaller and for me give that limiting black circle effect, this monocular does not have that problem as the les is a bit bigger and so gives a really nice easy viewing experience. I have a pair of Celestron binoculars too and as a brand cant fault them for value for money. I like to rate the things I buy as would I give this to someone else as a gift? There are a few things which I think ever man/Dad would be delighted with, Leatherman are a good example, Maglite's are another. I will add this monocular to the list, a simple but great performing gadget which for the price is a great surprise.
