Good size for two children to play in
After reading the reviews I was in slight doubt about the quality of this, but when it arrived I was really happy with the quality. The wood was well made and came treated. You get a sheet to go on the bottom that stops weeds coming through, but would allow for water to drain through. It took about an hour to put together. It's fairly easy to figure out how it goes together. There is a seat for two sides but we decided only to put it on one. Both my children fit easily into the sand pit, it's a good size for them. We used 5 x 15kg sand bags in it to fill it to a good level. The lid itself fits the exact size of the sand pit and has elastic round the corners. It does need additional securing. We have put wood across the middle and will put something across the sides for winter. The sand pit itself is good quality and well made. For two children it's the right size.

Not so waterpoof cover
easy to assemble, could do with a little sanding before use as the wood is rough and splintered in places, took 10 minutes to build and another 10 to treat the wood, my only gripe is that the waterproof cover is not so waterproof as they have decided to cut 2 holes in the center 🤣

Great size, easy to build
Easy to build, one person about half an hour. Relatively sturdy, as long as its just children leaning on it. Great size, several children can play together in it. You need a lot of sand though

Grandson loves it
The product arrived quickly and was put together by my son for my 2 year old grandson. A little larger than expected but thats a bonus. The only down side (other than my son thanking me for having to spend almost £50 on play sand (100+kg))the cover is very flimsy in any kind of wind. Since there are many cats in the area that my son lives, he is aware that a large pit of clen sand could attract unwanted activity from the cats so he found a need to place a wooden panel over the pit to keep the cats out.Overall, my grandson would play in the sand from 'dawn 'til dusk', a worthwhile buy.

Mega Sandpit! Worth every penny.
What a fantastic sandpit! Took me well under 1 hour to assembly it. Well made, high quality sand pit. Comes with great and clear manual, screws and cover so you can prevent cats urinating inside lol. Sand pit got to benches on the sides but please adults do not sit on them as they are build for kids ;) and adults are to heavy for them. I have bought 150kg of soft sand and filled sand it with it. See photos. It does look good! Worth every penny, great product.

Incorrect wood sizes, drill holes in wrong place, splinters.
I’ve had a bad experience with this sandpit. Two of the wooden planks were too long so it didn’t actually fit together (see photos). Rather than disassemble and return, I had to cut them myself with a handsaw as we needed the sandpit up and running for the children. The drill holes on both seat planks were in the wrong place so we had to make our own.Too many screws provided.Flimsy softwood. The base is too small so you can’t staple it to the sides - sand comes out of the bottom. The cover fits fine although it’s not rained here since having it so can’t comment on how this will cope with rain.Assembled it looks good but is flimsy and not as sturdy as I’d hoped.

A mixed bag, but overall happy
Little girls love the sandpit. Takes quite a lot of sand to fill to a decent level (we have used 12 big bags and could probably still do with a couple more). But it's great for them to have lots in there to play with! The low stars are because of how difficult it is to put together in the right places, and even now after dismantling and putting together so many times ours isn't right because the lengths of the sides are different rather than flush, but it's together and we gave up trying! It could do with labels on the pieces so you know which is supposed to go where! But even with it not being put together in the correct places it's sturdy and the seats are useable. The cover on the bottom is weak and could do with stapling to the wood as we often end up with sand spilling out the bottom in places. And the waterproof cover comes off unless we peg it down. Hence the 4 stars.

Good sandpit but cover is useless
The sand pit is good but the cover does not fit properly. It is too big and does not fit at the corners so it does not stay on and the rainwater gathers into a puddle in the centre.
