MAC USER REVIEW
I purchased this device for my MacBook Pro Retina (late 2013) (Running High Sierra) because when I am at my university's library the WiFi signal strength is terrible (eduroam) and I can barely connect to the internet when using my inbuilt MacBook pro WiFi, which was a major issue as I was needing the internet for W̶i̶k̶i̶p̶e̶d̶i̶a̶ my dissertation research. So as I knew my university would be to incompetent to fix the WiFi issue, I went on Amazon to see if I could purchase an external antenna or external wireless card with a larger antenna (((this product))) with the hopes it would increase the signal strength I could receive. I was sceptical that this product would work on my Mac at first as no Mac user had reviewed the antenna and even though it says the Wireless adapter will work on my Mac in the description of the product, I was still suspicious of it being false advertisement. I was also worried that if it did work, it would be tremendously slow as it uses USB 2.0. But as it turns out I couldn't be more wrong. When I received the product, I tried to see if it would work without having to install any drivers... it didn't work. So I looked in the packaging and found a disk that reportedly had the drivers on. But this was no ordinary disk, it was an 80mm half sized disc which, if you're a Mac user without an external disk drive and/or only have the built-in one, you're screwed as no mac (except for the cheese grater) can read them. Also, this is 2017 not 2006. (I have a Mac Mini with its built-in disk drive that I could have copied the drivers from a normal disc onto my Macbook pro retina) So my C plan was to find a mate with disk drive (which is like finding a needle in a haystack in 2017) to copy the drivers onto a USB drive. BUT thankfully I remembered that the seller had put some sort of link the product's description. Could it be a link to the drivers?! YES it was! (You're a lifesaver!) I downloaded the drivers, installed them and annoyingly had to do a restart... But once I had done so, I had a little new icon in my menu bar (Picture attached). I plugged in the wireless adapter, selected the network, typed in the password, turned off my Mac WiFi and... it worked. I did this the first time at home and discovered whilst using it, not only was it fast to my surprise but it was also faster at loading websites than my inbuilt WiFi, even right next to my router?! With high hopes, I headed to my university's library, I selected the network, typed in my username/password and then a pop-up window opened saying that I had to 'trust' the root certificate... and so I did. This is where the first issue arised, the adapter connected to the network fine but the pop-up window froze (picture attached) and wouldn't close unless I force quit the application running the pop-up window in Activity monitor. Not to worry, once I had removed the pop-up window the wireless adapter worked superbly and I was able to get good internet where I previously wasn't able to. Then I came across a second issue the following week, the application/drivers that runs in conjunction with the wireless adapter had crashed and disappeared from the menu bar. Without the application, you can't use the wireless adapter. Ok not to worry I'll re-open the application... but where is it? It's not in my application folder? Turns out the only way normally to re-open the application would be to restart my laptop. I'm having none of that. I discovered that the application is hiding in /Library/Application Support/WLAN/ and is called 'StatusBarApp'. To solve the issue I created an alias (picture attached) and placed the alias in my applications so when it does crash again I can easily re-open it. Other than that and the loose plastic surrounding the wireless adapter that I'm pretty sure is going to fall off soon, it works great and I'd totally recommend it if the drivers are updated to fix the issues I've listed, even so, if they are not updated it's still usable and works ok.

So far so good.....
Being a usb 3 device it certainly is quick. Good signal strength. I bought this to replace a previous REALTEK based usb wifi adapter which failed after only 2 months. There was some issue with the setup for this device, the manual said the device should be plugged in before the driver is installed (ok, that makes sense) and that Windows 10 in most cases won't need a driver installed as it should be plug n play. Well in my case my Windows 10 DIDN'T recognise the device and I had to unplug the device, reboot, install the driver and then plug in the adapter before getting it to work. So, so far it's working brilliantly, fast, stable signal but, time will tell.

very happy with the product!
Connected it to my laptop for faster internet access as my built in wireless card is on 2.4G, at first it was connecting at 2.4Ghz, then i did some research and found these commands.Press [Windows Key] + [X] and select Command Prompt (Admin). At the command prompt type: netsh winsock reset catalog and press [Enter].Next type: netsh int ip reset reset.log and press [Enter].Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.Success! connection at 5Ghz, very happy with the product!

so far this one works better than the original one i purchased and has the advantage of the antenna although it might get in the way on some set ups but fine for me with a medium desktop, now working for 3 weeks so lets hope it keeps going. Easy to install as well.

Buy it now!
Used in a massive student house and my room is the furthest away from the router. My phone gets roughly 35Mbps download speed in my room whereas my computer whilst using this gets 95Mbps. Definitely great value for the money, with no disconnections and constantly great performance. Must buy if you need an adapter.

Fire Hazard
Did'nt seem to be working properly, so I went to remove it from the USB port and burnt my fingers It was too hot to touch. It had been connected for approximately 3 minutes. This thing is a fire hazard.Once it cooled down I removed it and went back to my old ALFA Wifi Adaptor works perfectly.
