You get what you pay for. The sturdiness and quality of these pads is excellent. Pricey but definitely worth it, like most products from 3M.

I have used to restore headlights

After buying a car off an 86 year old you and imagine the stuff all over the car. I purchased this, the 3m quick cut compound and a cheap DA buffer. With no idea what I was doing it took out 85% of the scratches and brightened up the paint. Very happy with the result only issue is it’s expensive.

I was initially disappointed using the 3M cutting compound but after a YouTube recommendation purchased the cheaper Menzerna Heavy Cut 400 Compound and got better results. Initially I was using an orbital polisher which was painfully slow. Again from the same video I switched to a battery drill running at maximum speed. This was a game changer but brutal on wrists and hands when it snatched. Now have a variable speed rotary polisher shaped like an angle grinder with much more control and leverage. I use cheap foam pads for final high gloss combined with Menzerna Super Finish Plus 800. These 3M pads have proved themselves by being extremely long lasting and capable of much faster paint removal than cheap foam pads.

An excellent product very good quality and results when used with 3m fast cut plus would like it if the pads were a bit thicker but apart from that superb compounding pad will buy again
