These dahlias are very pretty, and the germination rate is high
These dahlias are very pretty, and as usual with the Suttons brand, the germination rate is high. My success this year was phenomenal, so I'm buying them again. Most of them have come up pink, not other shades of red and orange as on the seed packet. I'm attaching some photos, so you can see what they look like in my garden.A word of warning, though: protect them from slugs and snails. If you don't, your young plants may get devoured overnight with nothing left. I lost quite a few of my plants this way. Even the mature plants are a desirable meal for snails.I've read another reviewer's warning that the packets currently sold on Amazon are not genuine Suttons seeds but fakes, with imitation seed packets and inferior quality. Obviously the ones I had last year were the real thing, and I was pleased. If this year's purchase doesn't germinate as well or produces inferior plants, I will report it here.

Not much success with the germination of these.
About a third of these germinated and a few of them continued to grow but on the whole, a bit disappointed with them really.

brilliant still flowering in Novtons of flowers if you keep dead headingtook a little while to get goingUpdate:I covered these with mulch over winter ( risky ) but even after the beast from the east about half returned,They are much bigger than and are outperforming everything else in the garden.Highly recommended( you can ensure over wintering by storing somewhere a bit warmer but it was too much hassle for me )

Beautiful Variety of Flowers
We planted the seeds at the beginning of May and they sprouted within a couple of weeks. Some of the seedlings were then moved into larger flowerpots, then all of them were acclimatized for about two weeks before finally being moved in the garden in early June. The first dahlias bloomed at the end of July and they are still in bloom as of mid October. There's a great deal of variety of colors (whites, yellows, reds, pinks and purples and combinations) and shapes. Extremely pleased with the flowers, they are amazing!
