CiT Dark Soul Black Midi Case with 1 x12 cm Blue 4 LED Rear Fan and Side Window Panel - Black

I was a bit dubious about how good this case will be for the money, but I was really pleasantly surprised.Was very easy to build, my ATX motherboard fit nicely, not much space around the edges. There's good cable management and the included fan is quiet. I fitted an Arctic 120mm PST fan at the front and with the two hooked up together the performance seems comparable.There are two HDD trays in the basement, keeping the drives out the way. The HDD doesn't screw in, there are studs that fit into the screw holes which makes it much easier to install. There was nowhere for my 2.5" SSD tofit into though, so I taped it to the second drive bay.The main benefit over my 15 year old case is the position of the PSU being down in the basement. Air is sucked up from the mesh on the floor panel, not from the heated CPU as was happening in my old case, which cased the PSU to overheat and the fan to spin loudly. The other great thing is being able to keep the cables out the way, also improving airflow.The USB and audio ports on the top of the front panel are nicely laid out. There's one USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, and headphone and mic sockets. There are also two card reader slots but I didn't have another USB header on my motherboard for those. The rear fan light, and the strip lights on the front are a nice touch.Yes the metal is a bit thin at the back of the case, but the side panels are sturdy enough. There are tonnes of screws provided, and some cable ties. There are also foam pads for the PSU to sit on to dampen vibration, and the PSU lined up perfectly with the screw holes in the back of the case. Apart from the flexing back panel there are no other signs that this is a cheap case.

For the price, this case is very impressive. Decent space for cable management, PSU shroud, screws and zip ties included. I've put a few systems together with other similarly cheap cases that haven't offered the features this case does. I've written this review with the case having just come out the box, but it's clear that many considerations have been made with the design (fan/ rad support, a slot for a vertically mounted GPU/ plenty of space for airflow and enough clearance for a 120mm fan after market cooler). I'm personally a bit of a minimalist with my taste in cases i.e. my main system uses an s340. The design of this case is simple on the exterior and gets a thumbs up from me from a plain/ simple aesthetic point of view.

Front panel is made of cheap plastic but looks okay and seems like it could take a minor impact without damage. The bag of screws that accompany it are all mixed together and there's no documentation to say which screws are for what so there's quite a bit of guess work to figure out what goes where. Minor denting on the back of the case which I don't think was caused in transit as the box it came in wasn't damaged at all but the denting is barely noticeable and on the rear of the case so it won't be seen. Hard drive trays are made out of cheap plastic and feel a little flimsy but will work okay. Not many options for cable management as there aren't many holes in the inside to run cables. I ended up having to buy extra cable extentions to be able to make things fit. Front panel is a little bit of a pain to remove to be able to mount fans but is doable with some effort. Chassis itself feels sturdy enough and is quite lightweight and the finish looks pretty good. Over all, pretty good for what I paid for it. After apporximately 4 days of use, the front panel microphone socket seems to be a little twitchy, I'll update if it does decide to stop working

Case is great for a £30 case. I’ve read reviews about the stand offs not lining up, but on MY particular case, they were fine. The included fans are fairly decent, with either a 3 pin connector or molex for you to choose from, and the window is nice for the price. The inclusion of the power supply shroud is a much appreciated feature and helps massively with the cable management. On the topic about cable management, the back of the case has many tie down points for your cables for a clean look. There is 2 (from what i can remember) SSD mounting points at the back of the case, and there is a drive tray in the psu shroud that can hold 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives. You can easily fit a 240mm rad on the front, but I’m not sure about the top as my motherboard has a capacitor on the top of the mobo which would interfere with the fans (hence why i just have a stock AMD cooler). This case has an EVGA 1070 FTW edition in it and it has heaps of space left, so if you had a ZOTAC AMP! Edition card, you’d have enough room left. The dust filter at the top of the case is fairly good too, as it does keep out dust, but there is no filter on the back / front. There is also one for the PSU. In conclusion, for a £30 case, it’s brilliant, but for an expensive build, I’d say get a case a little more expensive, but for a budget build like the one i have pictured, it’s fantastic. WOW! This case punches WAY above its weight for the price of £35! Regardless of price, it's a really really good case! Very well thought out design. Plenty of holes in the back panel to thread cables through to keep things neat. All the PSU cables can be hidden within the PSU cover at the bottom of the case and cables can be fed up behind the motherboard and poked through where they're required. I've build loads of PCs over the years and this is the best case I've used, especially at the price point. Why the hell do people spend more than this on a case? Seriously! It has all you could want. The rear fan is extremely quiet and very low RPM (personally I will replace this with a PWM fan so that I can adjust the speed to my requirements. Having 2 graphics cards in my case, I wil need a better exhaust fan, but for a standard build, the included fan is amazing!I purchased 3 X LED Uphere fans as a kit for the intake at the front of the case from Amazon (can be seen in the photo). These are also very quiet and give better air flow for a more crowded case. I used a full ATX motherboard which fitted perfectly in the case and it was a pleasure to build. Will only be using this case from now on for my builds!

Davvero bello, linea pulita e predisposto per 5 ventole da 120. È studiato per sistemare tutto in modo ordinato e " nascosto " e la finestra laterale è molto ampia e lascia vedere il giusto.È il secondo che prendo e sono molto soddisfatto.Unico neo, se avesse una predisposizione o anche solo un piccolo passaggio di aria sul plexi laterale sarebbe il top

Ich hab des Gehäuse nun eine Woche und bin immer noch total Überrascht.Das CiT Dark Soul ist ein sehr schönes und elegantes Gehäuse für einen Preis den man nicht bemängeln kann, da es Features (Netzteil Abdeckung, großes Sichtfenster, platz für einen 240mm Radiator in der Front, einem Magnetischen Staubfilter oben und ein gutes Kabel Management) bietet die man sonst in der Preisklasse vermisst oder nur eingeschränkt hat.Mit dem 2x 3.5 und 3x 2.5 Zoll Plätzen für Festplatten und SSD's ist genug Platz für viel Speicher.Für den Preis Lohnenswert.Es ist einfach nur Top

Snyggt chassi och lätt att arbeta i men tänk på att det INTE finns plats för dvd , optiska enheter så då får man köpa external som lägges utanför!Jag gjorde en speldator av detta och när jag spelar i flera timmar i sträck är temperaturen bra i burken , har inte behövt köpa extra fläktar utan räcker med den som följer chassit och sen tillhörande fläktar till: processorfläkt, grafiken samt strömaggregatBilligt och rymligt chassi helt ok
