Great product. Just familiarizing with the software, but the performance and accuracy is above my expectations. I had a couple of questions at the beginning and the customer service received was prompt. Highly recommend

This is more like for beginners
This is more like for beginners, this engrave don’t show up on no software that most advance engraver you and it don’t engrave on metal unless you use paint or spray to coat the metal. Not much on Google or YouTube bought this product! Do your research before buying

10watt optical power powerful in price range
Written manual was just ok.The Installation video on the included tft micro card however was good.Laser went together well after watching the video.Laser is clean and is sturdy, solid.I also got their air assist module.Their Air assist won’t install unless you remove the brown/orange protective housing. When you remove the protective housing you loose the integrated focus function as it’s part of the housing, that’s not acceptable. What I did was temporarily remove the plastic housing and used a Dremel tool to modify it so that the air assist module had enough clearance to fit. This is not a perfect solution but does make everything work as it should have out of the box.Jiccoda should address that issue with a new part.I emailed them about it but they just suggested removing the protective cover and did not seem particularly interested in creating a new plastic part.Apart from that I like the lasers performance using Lightburn software. It does nice clean work and despite what others say it will and does work on metal, if you know how. Plenty of YouTube vids on how to do it.I did not try the other included software to see how it worked so don’t know if it’s acceptable or not.Overall I would say it’s a 4 out of 5. If they fixed the air assist with a new protective housing it would be a 5.

Do not waste your money. Impossible to connect to a PC
The links to "help" take you to a place that doesn't even list the model. No tech supportNo illustrations on how to connectNo troubleshooting guide. If I bought a car like this, lemon laws would protect me.I do not give up easily and have been trying to resolve the physical and interface issues. For the sake of what ever you believe in, there is not even a picture or segment in the user's manual that explains or shows the controls on the device. What cood l is the label "button" if you have no clue what it does or when to use it?This is as useful as an airplane without engines or wings: all it is good for is parts to use on something else that actually worked at one time.Save your money for a real engraver and give this thing a pass.

Not good information on how to operate.
Still trying to figure out how to use. I feel I am pretty much computer literate, but not very good instructions come with the unit. They reference alot of online videos and tutorials to watch. Looks like it could be a good laser/engraver by the ratings. Hopefully can get figured out. Just no specific operating directions in th manual

Very Impressed, Detailed first impression review
The media could not be loaded. This review is from someone that did not receive this machine on promotion. This is my honest and unpaid opinion.I have been looking to dive into laser engraving and spent many hours researching and looking for the best option. My choices were narrowed down to:AtomStack X7 ProCreality Falcon 10WXTool D1Then, while searching around Amazon, I found this one. The Jiccoda L1. It retails for $499 and there was a promotional $100 coupon. I landed on this one due to price and advertised features alone. It resembles the Ortur and Xtool in finished appearance and specs.I also ordered the Jiccoda Air Assist and Rotary attachment and a honeycomb cutting bed. Do not bother googling reviews, there are none and the info online is scarce at best. I bought this blind and figured I could return it if it was junk.Assembly was very easy, no issues, and they give you an extra screw for each type, which is always a plus for me. Fit and finish is superb, all aluminum custom extrusions, anodized, and a very sleek looking machine. They offer an assembly video, and I watched this a few times before the unit arrived, so I was prepared once I opened the box. I recommend doing this to anyone who buys any machine that requires assembly. Their videos are very good.Pros:1. Dual Steppers for the Y axis. I could not find this feature in any other machines in this price range. This eliminates the connecting shaft required in single stepper setups and reduces the overall height of the machine.2. Continuous drive belts, no weird tensioning required for open ended belt drive machines.3. Belt tensioning is clever and clean.4. Wire management is second to none. Coiled lead wires in the x and y axis. Very clean and makes for a complete looking machine.5. External E-Stop6. All connections are on the front, this allows for ease of access and prevents dirt and debris from entering the ports as some machines have them on top.7. Sturdy and rigid frame8. Laser Module has fairings on it to give the machine even more of a finished appearance9. Nice instructions10. An App to operate if you're not using Lightburn or GBRL. It is basic, but is nice.Cons:1. The air assist that is advertised and often sold as a bundle with this machine will not work without modifications. The clear safety lens cover at the bottom will not allow for the inline nozzle to be attached. The other attachment device they give you is a clamp to go on the outside and directs the air through the tube to blow air from the side. This would have worked if there were not the super nice fairings on the laser module. I was able to modify the clear safety cover to allow for the nozzle attachment using an x-acto knife and a razor saw. It takes 10 minutes, but may be out of reach for some folks. Jiccoda needs to offer an adapter for the laser module to allow for the inline nozzle to be used without hacking the original. I plan on 3D Printing a replacement in the coming days.2. The unit does not have an external control module, which is not a huge deal operating headless, but you do get this on the AtomStack.3. The Rotary attachment connects to the y-axis. Because there are 2 steppers in the y axis, I need to investigate and make sure unplugging both and plugging in one to the rotary attachment will work.4. Minor, but would be nice and I understand why they did not do it, but the power cord is in the front and is in the way. It would be nice if it was in the back, but this would not be cost effective and require additional wiring to power the motherboard located in the front housing. I will chase this cable on the outside and around to the rear.5. The Pom Wheels are plastic, and will require maintenance, tightening with use and eventual replacement, but this is industry standard and at this price point, I am just being picky. Most 3d printers use these and they are perfectly acceptable.I engraved a couple samples and the operation is straight forward and the results are great. I will play around more in the coming weeks and post more photos. If you are just planning on engraving, and do not need air assist, this is a superb machine right out of the box. If you are handy you can modify the safety cover you can make any air assist work for cutting. Or, Jiccoda can provide an aftermarket adapter. Once I get the replacement part designed, printed and tested, I will make it available on Thingiverse for those with a 3D printer. At $399, you definitely cannot go wrong. At $499, this is a superior machine for laser engravers in this price point.Once they offer a 20W machine, I will be making another review!
