Did the job of fixing the letterbox easily

The right thing, but just very slightly too large at hex and lug (perhaps 0.25mm?) so had to carefully file down to get to fit, but after that all seems good. Otherwise exactly the same as the original ones (which is good and bad as the plastic does break, but probably needs to be plastic to give flex and tension for it to work correctly) in the letterbox on my somewhat ageing uPVC door's letterbox

I think this is good product, so far so good and let’s see how long it takes facing the weather proof. The price seems to be little high as compared to its material and the engineering involved. It should be available in two colours, black and white.

Fits well good replacement, expensive for what it is

I was skeptical before buying because there's no way of knowing if this solution will be the correct size for your own letter box and it does seem a bit high, price wise, for what is literally a couple of small plastic rods, that cost pennies to make. But I pulled out the snapped rod, ironically, courtesy of an other enthusiast Amazon delivery driver and slid one of the new rods in. Boom. Fixed. And I have a spare for next time.

Went outside one day to find my letterbox hanging off and hunted all over for a replacement part - this is one of the only places I could find to get these. I was a little baffled at first because mine was a single piece where as this is two pieces, but I soon realized it’s fine to pop one in each side. Once you push them in you have to turn them and you’ll know when you’ve done it correctly as they’ll little sticking out parts on one end slot into two very specific little holes which then opens and closes the letterbox. These were pretty cheap to be honest and function exactly as I needed them too, my letterbox is actually tighter now than it was before too

Didn't fit my letter box at all, these plastic pins are really short, about half the length of the ones they were meant to be replacing and they have a hex head whereas the originals had a square head. Ridiculous price for about 2 grammes of plastic too. These were the only replacement letterbox springs I could find on Amazon of this type so be really sure they'll fit. It seems I'll have to buy a whole new letter box instead just because the existing springs have gone.
