Owltastic
My Mum is daft on owls. She loves it. I probably should’ve bought her 2. Decent price. Looks well made. Can’t complain. :)

WOODSIDE LARGE REALISTIC OWL DECOY
Looks the real thing but comes without a word of instruction - you have to retrieve three screws and a clear plastic "windvane" from inside the body using methods like getting coins out of a child's piggy bank . There is a (sealed) slot on the back of the head which seems to be for the windvane, but how it holds in position once pierced and slotted in, I could't work out, so just jammed it in place and hoped.Mounted the owl on a spare decorator's extension pole (the body is hollow) and fixed the scarer to edge of flat roof. Result was an amazing lack of pigeon coo-ing noise, landing and mating runs along the roof - usually this happens at 5.30 a.m. EVERY day - and pigeons do appear to have moved on, at least for now. In a decent wind, the head does turn, looking quite realistic. For the reasonable price, I'd recommend trying this to anyone plagued by the filth and noise caused by those flying rats... er pigeons.

Doesn't scare herons..
Looks good, but the heron just walks past it even though I move it around regularly.

Fun owl for the garden.
The pidgeons kept away for a few days then they realised the owl was not a threat. It maybe because a robin perched on the owls head. All the birds like their new friend.
