Hubsan H501S X4 1080P HD Camera RC Drone

i looked at a few drones and a few reviews on other sites before choosing this one. i wanted a drone that had a good camera and flight time so i could take aerial views of some of the places i fish and to quickly see any poaching on the waters i bailiff,the drone arrived with 2 batteries . one for the hand set and the other for the drone both these where simple to set up and charge. next i read the instruction book which covers 2 types of hand set, i went for the basic remote as i wanted to spend time flying the drone not trying to work out what all the buttons do, that's not saying the remote is basic its just some of the features are out of the way for normal flight.once the batteries are charged and in place it time to do a pre flight check and calibrate the drone, this can seem a bit strange at first and must be done out side for the GPS to work. now time to fly . press the lever up and its controllable. it will just hover where you stop and then move when you want it to move no delay or sudden speed up then over press to slow it down , i found it very easy to navigate.gaining confidence i send it away and out of sight using only the screen to guide me, this takes a bit of getting used to but when i have seen enough i press the return button and back it comes. the screen did flicker a bit but i put that down to how far away i went and also possible interference.To record the trip you need an SD card in the drone not the hand set. found the quality very good for what is a sub £150 drone.at Hight you start to learn about wind and thermal currents but the drone would always level its self out straight away..i haven't had a chance to play with the follow me option but the circle mode did work well.build quality is good, appears to be made of a strong plastic and screwed together not just clips and glueall in all it seems very good for the money and i am pleased to see you can buy spares easily as well.

This drone is absolutely fantastic! I have been waiting a long time for this to be released in the UK and while it is not as cheap as what it was advertised to be (around the £150-200 mark) this is still as drone packed with features.The range and video quality is great, and i have tested it at a large open field and so far i have flown it 400 Meters horizontally and 100 Meters vertically without any video or transmission breakup.The Gps, return to home and headless mode functions work flawlessly. The only thing i have not tested is the follow me mode. I cannot see much use for this as you would have to lug around a large transmitter, so it would be difficult to say; ride a bike or something similar with follow me on. Obviously this is not equipped with a camera gimble, but i do not really find this an issue at all.Currently as of 11-01-16 it is impossible to find any parts or batteries for this thing however, so keep this in mind. This will undoubtedly get better over time.The only issues i have with this craft is the batteries used to power the transmitter will run out dead fast! i would say maybe 2-3 flights worth as they only use 4 AA's to power the whole thing. They really should have put some more substantial batteries in there, although this is very easy to mod in with a bit of soldering yourself. Another issue is that the transmitter displays the wrong battery level for the drone. The drone will happily fly around for 20-25 mins however the transmitter will stupidly tell you that after only 5 mins of flight time, that the battery for the drone is critically low. The drone lights seem to give correct readings however. I am currently sorting this issue out with Hubsan customer support.I am still very pleased with the product and Hubsan as a whole, as this is my 3rd Hubsan product. Great little flyers they are!Definitely recomended

The media could not be loaded.  Purchased one of these ( a black one) for my 11yr old son for xmas, his brother (12 yrs old) didn't want one as he said they were rubbish. First day out with it and 12yr old begged me to buy him one with his xmas money. This first drone (black one) is absolutely fantastic, easy to fly, decent video etc so we purchased another. Bought a white one ( less arguments and easier to identify when they're flying them together). The video glitched and skipped frames. We tried new SD cards (Maximum of 16Gb) and the card from the black one but it was still the same. Got a refund and purchased another white one. This was exactly the same, it flys perfectly but the video skips frames so is being returned. I have now purchased 4 of these, a black one which is absolutely brilliant, two white ones which fly perfect but the video skips frames and I'm now eagerly awaiting a second black one in the hope that this is an issue with the white ones.The video is from one of the faulty white ones, the black one has smooth video and cannot be faultedIF you get a good one they brilliant,very easy to fly and are good value for money but the main point is IF you get a good one.

Like the drone... But I can have 2-3 really good flights then the next time I take it up it just does it's own thing and comes down, not sure what's going on.

Brilliant little drone, packed with features and simple to fly. I did a lot of research before buying and it exceeded my expectations. Love the return to launch feature and the follow me function. The battery lasts well (I get 20 minutes of gentle flying, 12 to 15 of fast flying) and you get plenty of warning as the battery nears exhaustion. From red warning to complete exhaustion still leaves you with plenty of time to get it back to you. Video quality is good, but being quite light, it won't do well in breezy conditions and to get smooth recordings, you need to fly very gently.

The media could not be loaded.  Túve un problema para recibir el producto, pero el vendedor lo soluciono, y en compensación me ofreció un modelo mejor, la espera mereció la pena, estoy muy contento con el producto, es muy sencillo de manejar y muy estable a la hora de maniobrar, realmente vale mucho más de lo que cuesta.

Ordine Consegna ottimi e tutto quanto era stato previsto è arrivato con l'eccezione del manuale in italiano , che è in fase di realizzazione mi dice il fornitore, e quindi dovrebbe arrivarmi presto-Il quadricottero è bello, le caratteristiche sono buone e manca solo testarlo ma essendo io un neofita sto cercando di capire bene il funzionamento prima di provarlo e senza esperienza magari rischiare di rovinarlo.Quindi mi riservo di mandarvi altro pezzo di recensione come l'avrò provato

mio figlio di 9 anni al secondo giorno è già esperto. Soddisfattissimo. I video non sono stabili ma sono belli. le foto ottime. incredibile la distanza e l altitudine che raggiunge20 min di volo sono tanti. la seconda batteria acquistata a parte non la abbiamo ancora utilizzatanel telecomando c'è una durevole litio, non servono le 4 AA

Antes de comenzar, soy bastante nuevo en los drones, mi anterior dron era uno de iniciación y me pasé a algo más profesional como estos y es muy bueno, empecemos:Es muy fácil de volar, tanto con gps y sin él, es rápido y es entretenido. El contenido del paquete era bastante completo,y una de las cosas que me ha sorprendido es que el mando de control ya viene modificada e incorpora una batería y no las pilas que llevaban antes por lo que se ve.El vuelo en modo GPS es genial, pero me he fijado que en mi caso, el drone detecta 11 gps bastante rápido y el mando solo me ha llegado a detectar 6 gps, pero funciona igual de bien, el modo "return Home" funciona a la perfección.El vídeo es en 720p y se nota, pero a más 100 m de distancia habido momentos donde la señal de vídeo se perdia durante unos milisegundos, pero nada grave, la señal vuelve enseguida. Ademas es muy estable.

Drone facile à manipuler grace à la stabilisation par GPS. Malheureusement pour le mien, dès le 1er essai, le drone ne recevait aucun GPS et ne pouvait pas se stabiliser. Contact pris auprès du SAV de XINTE qui ne comprenait pas le problème. Ils ont refusé que je renvois le drone malgré des photos à l'appui. Ils ont décidé de m'envoyer une seconde batterie pour résoudre le problème !!?! Forcément le GPS ne fonctionne pas mieux avec une autre batterie ... Après de nombreuses recherche j'ai trouvé une mise à jour du firmware sur un forum US. Et depuis le problème de GPS est réglé et le drone fonctionne bien.Les vidéos sont en HD mais ne sont pas stabilisées et ont un effet "jelly".Les photos sont de moyenne qualités.La portée est bonne (plus de 500m) et le retour vidéo aussi.L'autonomie est appréciable.Vraiment très bien pour se faire la main surtout à ce prix, avant d'aller vers des appareils bien plus cher.
