Hubsan X4 H107L RC Quadcopter (H107L, Black+White)

I was looking for a drone which didn't have any automatic options, no camera, no headless mode, no sustain high or position modes either and i found it. This to me is by far the best drone to really learn how to fly drones with. I have had it for nearly a month now. I bought it with the rudder protection guard, spare propellers and spare batteries and I couldnt have asked for a better package. At first i thought it was quite fast and a bit unresponsive, but I put it in expert mode and i was really surprised. Its very fast very responsive and it controls great (once you learn with many many crashes). Because its so small if it crashes into something and falls to the ground the drone is able to cope with it very well. I have crashed into trees, had to power down from great heights and it comes crashing onto the ground (NO asphalt or concrete), and nothing happens. Maybe the cage suffers a bit, a rudder might fall off or break but the drone still goes. It has stabilisation sensors to keep it upright, so when there is wind the drone is able to stay in the upright position, but that is it everything else is manual. You really get a sense of what it is to fly a drone. A drone pilot friend recommended it to me and said if I learn with this I will find all other drones easy to fly and I know why. I have been watching many instructional videos on youtube and they all say the same and have picked up some very useful tips. For anyone looking to get into droning I would say this is THE drone, dont get distracted by all the other little features other drones bring this is the perfect firsrt drone, very cheap, so you know you can replace it any time.

Brilliant little quad copter and so much fun to play with. It arrived well boxed with spare blades, charging cable and controller.It has 2 modes for beginners (my 9 year old daughter can fly it easily on the beginner mode) and advanced users. Using the controller you can set the sensitivity of the controller on Each of the modes so you can 'step up' gradually from beginner to advanced mode. The battery doesn't last very long, 5-8 mins max but it is removable and you can buy 4-5 batteries with charger very cheaply to extend your fun (and even fly nearly indefinitely if you keep swapping them over on the charger). New parts can be acquired cheaply and easily though some parts will require you to be able to soldier.It does not come with a blade guard which is a major problem if you are brand new to flying quad copters but you can buy one for a couple of pounds quite easily and will save you on replacing blades (and possibly wallpaper / paint)

First - The Hubsan X4 family of Quads are excellent.Why 1 Star.Do not purchase the 107L.The 107L is 23-24 pounds in cost - and does not come with a propeller guard.The 107C is the camera model - and is another 5-6 pounds in cost.But - It does come with a propeller guard.The propeller guard costs around 2.5 pounds if you try and buy UK stock, and about 1 pound if you order overseas (but you'll have a 10-15 day wait time).Without a propeller guard the 107L is a liability.I had the 107C for a month (before the wind took it away) - and with the Propellor guard it dropped and crashed dozens of times and survived everytime - and that was on to wood floors, tiles etc.I've owned the 107L for less than 5 minutes and the body has cracked and a leg is broken - all the result of a 5 foot drop (that typically had no effect at all on the H107C)Repair the leg with tape, the 107L did fly, and within 1 minute of it getting close to a wall, a propeller broke immediately.Come on Hubsan - Why are you selling the 107L without a Prop Guard which would cost you less than 10-20 cents to include in the package.For less than 3 minutes of flight time this drone is now out of action.In Summary:The 107C was great.The 107L is simply bad value - and is now awaiting a 6 pound cost repair kit before its back up and running

This quadcopter is AMAZING!!Buy it now, you won't regret it.I had a nano q4 and the blades were constantly popping off, getting lost and broken & the replacement blades were so expensive.The X4 is bigger, more durable, more stable in flight, more fun, and the blades don't pop off when you crash.They do get damaged eventually (if you crash a lot like me) but the blades are so cheap it's not an issue.I also reccommend the 6pcs x4 battery with charger £19 from amazon then you can just keep swapping batteries out and never run out of charge (by the time you've used all 7 batts, your first will be ready, and so on)!!I LOVE this quad copter, Hubsan have made something really good here, so much fun and satisfaction.it's already given me the costs worth of fun in just 5 days.

Nice toy, but the battery came dead, and charger didn't help at all. Suggest you buying prop guard and spare batteries with this drone

I was really disappointed as I read the reviews on how great this was, how there was a blade protector included and how good the videos was - great the perfect present and pricewise comparable to other other sellers offering a Quadcopter with camera, but with better reviews. I then received my parcel, in time for Christmas (yay!!), on opening there was no blade protector and no camera. I accept that on re-reading the description it is just the basic model, I then re-read all the reviews and realised NONE were about this product but for an up-graded version (which I could have got cheaper from another seller) which is totally mis-representing the Quadcopter advertised.Buyer beware of reviews!!!
