It won't look 'bright' - this isn't a fault.Regards latching or non-latching, I always prefer the latching type as it's less hassle if/when power is cut from the socket.Both latching and non-latching RCDs provide the same amount of protection.If for some reason you were using an angle grinder for example, and there was a power cut, most sensible people would turn off the grinder and most likely unplug it too. This socket, being a latching type, is no more dangerous than a non-RCD socket in terms of power cuts.Latching RCDs are especially useful for things like fridges and freezers. Good quality, didn't fit existing RCD box so had to replace the lot - Still, Perfect.

Double socket set fits the supplied patters box. Will not work with cheap plastic patters - a good thing.Works well and well sited cables securing stops bunching.

A robust power socket wit easy to follow safe test feature. this is the type of RCD that remains in "ON" mode after any power outage so is ideal for a Freezer in a Garage were it could get over looked after a power failure.

Easy to install and gives that safety for using tools from/in the garage.

Beware that this is a latching (otherwise known as a passive) type which makes it UNSUITABLE for protecting garden or outdoor power tools. This is because an unexpected restoration of power following a break in supply can cause serious safety issues. This type is ideal for protecting a fridge or freezer where supplying the power back through the unit after a power cut is desirable. A non-latching, or active type is required for protecting the likes of lawn mowers and strimmers. These are also available, generally at higher cost.To be fair to the vendor, the type is mentioned in the product description and he has replied to another reviewer on this matter. The instructions also detail this in a warning in capital letters. However, the fact that this is not suitable for garden tools should specifically be included in the description - the casual buyer may not be aware without some research.

The ``ON` Indicating light very poor! Delivery was very good. Fixings and connections were easy to follow and the finnish and Quality were good!
