Fabulous scales. This Duronic luggage scales worked a treat. It weighed our 20 KG bag with ease, and even with my small hands (being a female!), held the curved handle comfortably. I found using the scales very simple - Adjust the strap so it is in the middle of the handle press the button, wait for the beep which sets the scale to 0 and lift. Keep the scales as still as possible after lifting so the weight fixes, then check the weight. I am no weight lifter so did find it quite hard to keep still, but once the weight was fixed, I put the bag down and checked the weight that way! When arriving at check in, we were pleased to see our scales were pretty accurate. We took the scales with us on holiday as we were 4x4ing/camping in Botswana and needed to check our luggage again (after buying curios) prior to our departure. The scales are so light in weight and compact so no problem tucking it into our luggage just before zipping it up! Thank you for the fast delivery service. Highly recommended.

There are many portable baggage scales available these days but this one is notable for using 2 x AAA batteries whilst still being very compact and lightweight. Many of the other scales (including other Duronic varieties - beware) use watch / button style lithium batteries (e.g. CR2032s) which are much less convenient in my opinion. I can use my rechargeable AAA batteries with this model - perfect. It's easy to use - simply turn the device on, loop the strap around the bag handle, pick up the bag by the scale handle and wait for the beep. Put the bag down and read the weight. You can set it to display kg, lb or stones. Accuracy is great - probably worth loading up to no more than 0.5kg below the airline weight limit though, to allow for any inaccuracies in this and / or the airline's scales. The argument for owning a portable baggage scale like this generally is utterly compelling these days. It completely removes the stress of worrying about overweight baggage - especially for the flight home, where you might not have access to bathroom scales etc. A complete no-brainer for £9.99 (as of Feb 2012). P.S. Don't pay any attention to any reports of the strap not being big enough - the reviewers in question misunderstood how to use the strap system.

This is an extremely useful product if you do not wish to end up paying large amounts of money at check-in due to overweight luggage. I found that the product was showing the weight to be around 0.3 kg more than it should be - I know this because I used this product to check against known weight such as a packet of rice bought from the supermarket. If you keep this in mind then you should not go wrong in weighing your luggage. However, bear in mind that you need to be pretty strong to lift a luggage that may weigh more than 20kgs... you need to hold the luggage up with this product for a few seconds to get a bleep which indicates that a reading has been taken. The product grip is well designed for you to pick up the luggage easily. I liked the design of the strap since it simply goes round the luggage handle and hooks up to the product. It is easy to operate and the display can be easily read. Since it is small the product can be stored in your luggage after use without taking much space at all for use on your return journey. I have used this several times and it has proved extremely valuable since it takes away the usual guess work on your luggage weight.

I found this product to be simple in use, solidly built and accurate. It takes a short time to calculate the weight and 'beep', and having weighed a 16kg dumbbell at 16.1kg (which I am willing to accept is down to manufacturing tolerances) I'm happy it does what it's designed for. The unit itself and accompanying straps etc all look like they should last quite a few years, and overall weight and size easy enough to pack in luggage for the return flights home. I'm pleased! Update 5 Sep 2011: I've noticed another reviewer found the belt loop too small for their case handles, but that suggests to me there's some confusion in use- the belt is approx 8 inches long so correctly clipped back on itself it could in theory wrap around handles up to 4 inches in diameter! Also, there's no need for an assistant to read the scale as the unit automatically beeps and stores the weight (once everything stops bouncing about), you then read the stored reading after you've put the case down, no problem. The only issue might be how strong your arms are as 25kg can be quite a weight to hold in one hamd! (the solution is you stand on a chair and let your arm hang down straight, or use both arms). Recently got back from holidays and unit worked perfectly both on all 5 cases there and back.

This digital luggage scale performs just as good as the more expensive ones featured on the website. You may not get a longer warranty like you do with the salter ones but what do you expect for such a good price. I actually bought this when it was cheaper but still think its worth buying at the current price. I just used it recently for my holiday and the reading was very accurate compared to the scales at the airport. I highly recommend this product rather than using bathroom scales for weighing your luggage as its always difficult to get an accurate reading on one of them. With this you just wrap the strap round the luggage handle and you'll get an accurate reading instantly. Although it is very light the build quality is really good and does not feel cheap to hold. Buy this and you'll save a fortune on excess luggage.

Es muy cómodo de usar. Tengo otro que me costó menos pero que no es práctico. Este es cómodo porque se agarra sin que te haga daño y un soporte bueno para sujetar las maletas que quieres pesar.
