Buy a more expensive version with a built in charging connection. Device provides 392mb download, full speed on my broadband. This runs device battery down.So very fast but runs battery down.

Good product, serves it's purpose

Purchased for a MacBook laptop.Initial issue because the MacBook didn’t recognise the device.The reason I had purchased it was because amongst other things the MacBook doesn’t have a ethernet connection or a CD Rom.The supplied driver disc was therefore no use for my MacBook. The workaround I would recommend for MacBook users is as follows;1. Put the driver CD rom in another computer and locate the “:\AX88772C_772B_772A_760_772_Macintosh_10.5_to_10.12_Driver_Installer_v2.5.0” folder.2. Copy this folder to a USB stick.3. Insert USB stick into MacBook.4. Follow the instructions in the PDF file in this folder.5. Reboot MacBook.Once I had installed the driver and rebooted it worked without issue and now I can connect to an ethernet connection where there is no Wi-Fi!Had it not been for the complications it would have been a 5* rating.Perhaps include a link to download the drivers for MacBook users without a CD rim drive?

Fantastic little adapter that comes well in handy these days, as more and more laptops etc come without ethernet cards (funny how the price of laptops doesn't drop commensurately when they miss hardware out like ethernet adapters and DVD drives etc!).Anyhow... Simply plug and played on my new Windows 10 laptop, no need for drivers or any other malarkey or fiddling about (although, if you're on a Apple that may not be the case - but that's your fault for buying into Apple! - JK).Full gigabit throughput, and feels like great build quality, too. Small and unobtrusive enough to leave on the end of the ethernet cable, ready for next use.

Does exactly what it should

Perfect, exactly what I was looking for and delivered the next day.In all honesty, I didn't think it could get any better than that. Then a few days later, I get an email, saying that if I have any problems with it, or require any tech support, then all I have to do is just contact the seller.Excellent product, along with excellent customer support. 10+/10.I will happily be purchasing from here again when I need something. :)

The item was just what I wanted as the Lenova Laptop does not have any Ethernet ports. Unfortunately I can not get the disk to READ which is a requirement to set it up. I have tried it in another computer and in a separate disc drive with the same results. At the moment our internet supplier has changed ans setup a new Wi-Fi box which allows us all to share the internet without resorting to an Ethernet connection, but if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it I would be grateful to hear what I am doing wrong.

It came quickly. It works, I plugged into a USB2.0 port on my Toshiba Satellite Core i5 Windows10 Pro laptop, which lacks onboard Ethernet. It seemed to mount and configure itself (auto-assigns an IP address to laptop, and found the router I was trying to configure, all in an instant. It seems a little too much work to test the top speed, and is possibly overkill, but I have no doubt that I am going to get my full 55Mbps throughput from my cable provider, in other words, it will not be a bottleneck. It seems robust overall and has the normal RJ45 lock tab with little play, a protective collar where it enters the adapter body, and the USB connector is a standard steel type which fits normally. Good value.
