Handy little things. They work on my thinner ~20 awg arduino data wires and ~18 awg 5v cables perfectly fine. It's a bit hard to get them to latch onto a cable without using pliers, though.

These look good and work fine once in place. However, getting them in place is not a trivial task. It is not immediately obvious that the side wire is inserted in a different way to the main wire (it fits into a loop in the transparent casing). It can be difficult to see if the side wire is inserted properly. It is very hard to click the covers fully into place once the wire is in place, you may need to use pliers to do so. If you are working behind a panel, or within an enclosed space, these problems are even greater.

These are ideal for connecting small wires. I bought them to connect wires together when doing an electrical job on my car. Car wires are small and I originally used block connectors with small screws but was concerned about whether I would get a good connection or whether the wires would come loose. With these connectors you don’t even have to strip back the insulation. You just push the wires into the connector and close them up. They are also small and unobtrusive and grip the wires tightly. Couple of tips. Make sure you push the wires into the connector as far as they will go and you will need to close the connector gently nipping it with a pair of pliers.

I have used these type of connectors before they are much neater than the spade and bullet types of connectors. Theses are smaller and neater than others I’ve used in the past. The only downfall with them is if you like me and have no feeling and very little grip they can be fiddly. You have no messy little wire tubes to pick up and throw away as there is no wire stripping involved. Just open the little clear door push your wire in the 2 holes, close the door and your finished. If your not very strong to do it with your fingers just use a pair of pliers and everything will lock into place. To test pull wires and they will be trapped in the connector. Now that you can get a t version at well it means it’s easier to add Spurs and look much better than the 3m connector. They are well worth the money.
