Was perfect!!
No issues in the installation on my desktop Windows 7 64 bit, the TP-Link Gigabit PCI Express Network Adapter, 32-bit PCIe interface works with no issues as the on board ethernet adapator was randomly disconnecting.Cheaper than replacing the motherboad. After using it for almost a month that over the last few days that the device randomly disconnecting yet again so today I have sent it back for a refund, just as well I had another ethernet adapter which is working fine so far yet I paid about 3 times the amount for the second adapter...time will tell of how long it works for.

For me, it did not work.
I knew I should have spent more on something like this, but I went and purchased this anyway, stupidly trying to ignore the bad reviews somewhat. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and this card didn't work for me. I got multiple blue screens and when my pc wasn't blue screened the performance was erratic to say the least. I couldn't get more than a poor signal in windows, where as my Macbook Pro gets an excellent signal. It would often not even connect to my router (Sky Broadband). Using Speedtest.net to test my internet speed I could only manage 1.3MB\s, where I would normally get 7.5MB/s through my Macbook Pro with an Ethernet cable. I tried the various drivers from Atheros and even tried the TP-Link ones as a last resort. I also tried to find some third party firmware but I didn't think it would be worth the potential voided warranty. I also tried changing the channel on my router but that didn't help, and why would it? Other wireless devices work great (phones, laptops, other PCs). Anyway, after all of the various fixes suggested on here (drivers, different PCI-e slot, etc) I could not get this to work properly. Perhaps I'm just unlucky, or maybe it is to do with the revision of the card itself. Mine was Rev 1.0, I believe there is a Rev 2.0 which might be what the people who have had luck with this card received. I don't hold anything against TP-Link because their other products seem to be good quality (from reading reviews on the higher up models). However, I think they may have skimped on something with this one. Quality control, drivers, I don't know, but there are definitely two groups of people who receive this card: those who receive good performance and others who do not. Despite all of this I was very pleased with Amazon's service as they dispatched and delivered it very quickly. I have also gone through the pain free process of returning this and will post it today. I instantly received my refund (through a gift certificate, you can choose money or gift certificate) and will put it towards a better quality wireless card which I should have done in the first place. If you're not running Windows 7 64 bit it may be worth purchasing as it's cheap, but keep in mind that there's a chance it won't work for you.

Pretty underwhelmed - Edit on 15/06/13
I was really expecting great things from this after I finally decided to replace my old USB adapter which I received from a friend. After having the component installed for around 4 days, I've had the adapter completely drop connection suddenly 3 times for no apparent reason. The software is useless and causes a problem which means I am randomly alt-tabbed out of full screen programs and games, which means I have to keep that closed. Generally the product is quite a let down, and it would not fit nicely in my case either (Full ATX case). The adapter slotted into my PCIe slot then the metal bracket would not reach the screw hold, so it has to be slightly bent forward to screw in. Really am quite disappointed. Edit on 15/06/13: This product is the biggest pile of crap I've ever purchased. I've uninstalled the software entirely, it is designed terribly and on top of this, I'm getting 0.032Mb/s on my 23Mb/s fibre optic internet. What is that?! I'm returning this and cannot wait for a refund.

Randomly disconnecting, thought at first pci is losing contact
It randomly disconnects, Bluetooth works perfectly fine, however wifi just disconnects and it doesnt come back on. After 2 to 3 pc restarts it comes back to life and works again. Speed is great, ive got fiber 500mbps and here i catch around 440mbps. I dont know what to do, just got it, and i need a stable connection, anyone have any advice if this can be fixed? Will update review aftrr 3 4 days of usage Update sfter few months, its terrible, would not recommend to anyone, trying to get in touch with support to return, and replace, or get something different instead of this however with no luck.

Wi-Fi failed to work after 3months of use - tried everything to reinstall drivers etc... BT is ok.
This PCIe started out ok, it requires a few internal header connections on the motherboard to get it all working, but all seemed to be fine for several months (speeds of around 90Mb). However, after about 3 months, the Wi-Fi download speeds dropped to near zero and cut out frequently (such that Speedtest wouldn't even complete - complaining of no internet connection). I checked the WLAN AutoConfig service that someone else mentioned, but no luck. To confirm it wasn't my internet connection or router, I put in an old WiFI USB adaptor and everything was fine again (slower speeds than Wifi 6 obviously). Motherboard temperatures are around 30c, so well below average. I use a Bluetooth connection (to headset) which remains okay, but nothing to shout about though. Shame about this card - seems there is a WiFi reliability problem here after only a few months. Pretty expensive as a Bluetooth adaptor.

Not suitable for high speed cable
The Ethernet card installed easily (plug and play) but although I was able to access the internet, the connection speeds were abysmal. I am on a Virginmedia 130Mbs cable and even using wifi can get download speeds of over 100Mbs plus. Unfortunately, with this TP-Link TG-3468 card, the highest download speed was 9Mbs!!! I tried updating the drivers but the disk that comes with the card is only for Win 7 and 8. I am running on Win 10. I've been to the TP-Link website but there doesn't appear to be any Win10 drivers, and when I run a driver update via windows it just says I've got the latest. It appears this card isn't capable of handling fast speeds.

Disappointing
Unfortunately this card has been extremely inconsistent and unreliable! From the start the drivers were a pain to find and install. Then once I finally got it up and running the speeds were extremely variable! We are on a full fibre 900 plan so was realistically expecting to be getting around the 700-800mbps via WiFi connection. The best I could get from this card was 600 which isn't bad if it could actually consistently hold that speed! Every time I started up my pc I was getting different speeds, sometimes as low as 50mbps. And the only way I could get it back up was by constantly restarting the PC and reinstalling the drivers. So yes overall I'm very disappointed and will be returning the card to try a different one.

Intel ruins this for hotspots
I'm sure this is a perfectly fine network adapter if you just want to connect to a router. I wanted to use this to broadcast a hotspot from my PC for VR. Intel (this is an intel chip in a TP Link wrapper) have a restriction that won't let you create 5Ghz hotspots because that bandwidth is restricted in certain countries. So this is absolutely useless as a hotspot access point.

Awesome device
Works as described, plug and play. Immediately recognized by Windows 11 and working at full speed (1 Gbit/s).

Easy to install
Package arrived without any damage and on time. Installed the WI-FI card and then the driver. no issue so far. Thank you for this quality product.

Plug and play, worked first time
Needed an additional network card for a PC used for security (Dell Optiplex desktop). This one comes with a full size and a half size bracket (I needed the half size to fit the case and PCI express). Changed the bracket, installed and worked first time without issue.

Archer TX55E
Pessimo acquisto. Rispetto al modello precedente le antenne sono più piccole e la qualità del sequale Wi-Fi ne risente o comunque il segnale è più debole.
