Q: Can these discs reliably store upto 50GB of any data type? ( I need to store mp3 -music, mp4/wmv videos, pdfs and image formats like .png & .jpeg)

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Depends on what optical writer (I recommend Pioneer brand) you use and if you want to have archives that lasts a long time. Then you should go for M@DISC optical media or other long term hardware storage.

Q: what speed should i burn these out in with Imgburn?

I don't know about Imgburn, but the ones I burn with windows 10 regardless of brand, I tend to do it at 1 scale lower speed than the highest suggested. If for example you are asked whether you wish an 8X speed, choose 6X instead. This way I've never had any problems

Q: Do these disks use a HTL dye? What is the media code?

sorry have no more to check but add over 500 disc up to now with no problems what so ever no faulty burns
