Textile Design: (E) (Portfolio)

As a lecturer in textile design I would say this is a great book for students of textile design with an interest in surface pattern and is insightful, informative and does not play to the 'crafters' market in it's presentation. I'd recommend this to FE/HE students as great resource and accompaniment to their course for clear instruction and interesting insights into the designer's practice that also advises on the industry for those finishing their education. It is concise and instructional but easy to understand with achievable applications to the discipline in it's many forms.

Good book; full of great information and designers. It is mostly illustrations which is good and shows step by step processes leading developments to a final piece. Got it for my Textile course and most of my lecturers have it now too.

The book really breaks down the process of fabric design, it focuses on textile techniques and products. It is mainly for undergraduate, degree, and pre-degree art foundation students.
