Was a bit worried about amp comments but it was exactly was I needed to power my telescope and works perfectly. I use it on a Celestron 4 SE telescope so I only have to use battery power as emergency use

Being an electronic engineer this is a very lazy way to build a power supply it's uregulated and relies on the loading of the power supply to bring the voltage downPossibly why one of the other reviews measured 26v on the outputI would not use this on any pricey astronomy equipmentThe description is misleading to this is not ideal at all for the celestron AVX mount that wants a nice clean stable 12v and at least 5A of powerUnderpowered motors on mounts don't track as designed or as optimality as they shouldAlot of people may find it dose power there scope fine but the long term helth on the electronics inside could be reduced

Got this for my Celestron 8se because I didn't want to be forking out for batteries all the time.Although the unit does power the scope, the connector fits very loosely and feels like it will fall out at anytime.
