BioLite BaseCharge Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Power Station for Camping, DIY or Emergencies, BaseCharge 1500

Bought this unit as a replacement for an old lead acid backup battery for my vPAP setup. It’s been first class from the start. First of all, it was packed really well and arrived safely. Seems well built. It’s lighter than I expected, too, and the built in handles are a nice feature. But the front panel design really stands out to this aerospace electronics engineer. Well placed and easily visible controls, and the display gives lots of useful info. I might suggest that the readout for “hours to empty” might benefit from some averaging. My vPAP machine and humidifier (ResMed AirCurve 10 and Fisher Paykel HC150) vary in power consumption significantly over short time periods (e.g. breathing) and the display changes very quickly in response. That can be a good thing, but just not ideal in this specific use case. But that would be my only nit to pick, and it’s a minor one. The design is sleek (my wife’s word) and it ran my vPAP and external humidifier for 8.5 hours last night, and had at least an hour to spare. More than enough. Pure sine wave AC is a really impressive feature for a unit this compact. In addition, all the different output types are really handy, including the hands free phone charger. That is a really nice touch. Highly recommended.

100% recommend. It's surprisingly light and portable considering the power output and fast charging times. We've used it to charge phones, laptops, shavers....and even my wife's breast pump in a pinch. Super user friendly with an easy to understand screen to track wattage in/out.Nice unboxing as I've come to expect from Biolite.Now we don't take road trips without it. Excited for camping season with this new standby in our car camping kit.

Great for camping and working from the road. We charge our phones, cameras, laptops, lanterns and headlamps as needed and don't have to worry about draining the car's battery. Love the look and feel of the product and having wireless charging is a fantastic benefit even though it took a little practice to properly align the phone on the charging spot. Love the USB-C PD port which is awesome for faster charging. I am not a techy person so the easy to understand message screen made using this product a breeze. Definitely want to get a solar panel so we can charge as needed while in the backcountry! My parents live in wildfire prone areas of California so totally purchasing a unit for them to use as emergency backup when the grid inevitably goes down.

I've been waiting to get one of these since they came out. I like the size of the unit and was impressed with it's weight. Much lighter than I first thought. They display is awesome as well.

BaseCharge is my first power station and I was nervous that it may be confusing to use as someone without prior experience. I was pleasantly surprised by how intuitive the product is - working exactly as I need it to. I've used it for everything from charging phones and other gear car camping to around the house as a portable outlet to keep my computer charged while working. I've been a BioLite fan for a long time and this new product lives up to my standards with the brand!

Everything you need in a battery. Have used ours for 2 months in our off-grid A-frame to charge laptops, phones, lights and we use a different brand solar panel to charge. The sleek design is neat, we actually keep it on our counter top and love the magnetic charge feature on top. Lots of AC, DC, usb, and usb-c outlets and an easy to read screen.
