Seems to work very well, was a higher reading out of the box matching room temperature, then went down in the fridge but not as low as I wanted the fridge to be so I adjusted the fridge thermostat and now can feel confident it’s at 5 degrees or less for safety. Seems good quality and was a good price, would recommend.

It's temperature reading is consistent with my existing fridge thermometer which is over 20 years old. My fridge according to my old thermometer, was not holding temperature - 8 degrees. My Hisense fridge is only 8 months old and I wasn't sure if it or the the thermometer was faulty. The temperature has now dropped back to 5 degrees on both thermometers. The fridge clearly had an issue not the thermometers. The red area on the dial makes it easy to see at a glance if the fridge is at a safe temperature no matter where the thermometer is placed in the fridge. The one thing I don't like is when you pick it up it rattles and the rattle sounds like it is the mechanism inside. I do wonder how reliable it will be as the rattle does not give the impression of sturdiness though at least with no battery there is one less thing to worry about. Time will tell on reliability and it would have been nice to have had an adhesive pin with the thermometer to hang it on. I give it 4 stars which right now may be a little generous but if it proves reliable its definitely a four stars. Having a hook moulded into the case and not providing something for it to hook on to was a missed opportunity as was moulding a simple stand into the base instead.

Very accurate both in fridge and freezer and easy to read. Competitively priced,highly satisfied.

Its a thermometer and it does give about the right temp. I havent checked it for accuracy but it you wanted an accurate one I doubt you'd be looking at the cheapest one. It does what it says on the tin. One thing I wondered is what happens if it goes over 30 degrees C.....well the needle vibrates very quickly and simply goes passed the 30 mark. Nice simple little device with a simple little hook. I cant see how it would go wrong (unless you trod on it). I bought it to go in the camper van just so I can see why I am moaning it is cold and put a figure on how cold it is (or how hot) and for this its perfect.
