TWF 3mm Socks

Sharing some insight. I had fitting issues, your experience may vary.
I've had several other pairs of diving socks so have got to know how they are supposed to fit and what to look for in general. When you try new wetsuit socks on for the first time, ideally you want them to be as tight as possible without cutting off circulation, because when neoprene gets wet it grows slightly and becomes a lot more loose and flexible, that means if they aren't tight when you first put them on, they'll most likely be too loose when in the water, this means your feet will be cold because cold water will wash though them as you swim, and they can easily slip off, (I've lost socks this way in the past). Neoprene also stretches over time from being worn over time so they will get looser the more you use them.I decided to choose a size down from what is recommended on TWF's website as i wanted them to fit tight. I'm a UK mens size 11, It is recommended to get size XL, but I chose size L to hopefully get a tighter fit. They were just about long enough for my feet in length, although they were stretched quite a bit from toe to heel, the real problem though was despite them being a size down from my recommended size, the ankles were extremely loose. So loose that they weren't touching the skin on my ankles, there was about a 1 cm gap all the way around. This means they are totally useless to me as they will let a lot of water in and not do their job. However, I'm tall and slim, so for other body types these might well fit. The construction seems to be pretty decent, the stitching looks robust but as i haven't used them i cant say how well they would hold up. I can't give them a bad review as it's a fitting issue and with wet suits and accessorises, different brands can favour different body types and that is totally fine. If they fit they would certainly be exceptional value as they're the cheapest i've seen and seem to be well made.

Pefect for the sea!
I read a lot of mixed reviews before buying these but I have to say that they were absolutely pefect. I'm a size 5 in shoes, (6 in runners) so I ordered these in a small and they fit perfectly. I used them for sea swimming last winter and they completely cut out the shooting pains in my ankles and feet in the cold water. Bought a second pair for my friend who thinks they are fantastic. Worth Every Penny.

Good Fit When Dry, But Let in a Lot of Water
I'm a UK size 9 so opted for large. When dry, these are the perfect fit. They're comfortable when walking around and I was able to comfortably walk around on concrete with them.During my swim the socks let in a lot of water. I tried tucking the bottom of my wetsuit into it, but it didn't help. This may be due to the large being slightly too large, but I'm not sure. I was tempted to just remove them during my 1,500m swim as it was annoying me so much.I do like the socks though. They're comfortable and fairly priced.

Warm but not for wild swimming (for me anyway)
Difficult this because they will fit everyone differently. I have quite wide size 11 feet and pretty skinny legs. They were nice and warm in the water and definitely help keep you in for longer, but I couldn't swim in them.I tried fitting them over and under the wetsuit but either way they would eventually fill with too much water and then start pulling off. Not sure if its the weird seam preventing them from fitting snuggly.I've tried a few other types that just seem to stay on more confidently.

Comfortable during open water swim
I use these socks for open water swimming. The size small is perfect for UK size 6. They can be used to keep your feet warm during winter cycling. I wear them under my wetsuit. These socks get filled up with water while swimming which is perfectly normal. These keep the feet toasty and there is no problem while moving feet during front crawl stroke. These are not as good as the swimming socks from Zone 3 and Blue seventy. However, for such low cost, these are bang for the buck. I highly recommend them for leisure swimmers. However, these won't last long for frequent swimmers.

... for an open water swim
I'm a ladies size 6 & bought a small they fit well have bought them for an open water swim in October they seem like a good fit around ankle & well made. Wore them today they filled with water felt like they may fall off when kicking. The seam is weird as seam runs up centre of foot so is uncomfortable. They need to be better fit. Feet were kept warm though.

Excellent socks for swimming
I have found these socks excellent for outdoor swimming. My last swim was at 4 degrees and my feet didn’t feel cold while I was swimming at all. They are so soft and light you can hardly feel them so don’t spoil the sensation of swimming unlike previous ones I’ve tried with re-Inforced soles.I just wear slider shoes over the top when walking to the water’s edge. I have got XS which feel quite a snug fit on my size 3 feet on dry land, but are perfect in the water. I tuck them under my wet suit cuffs and they hardly seem to let in any water. They are also very easy to get off and dry very quickly on a radiator. I can’t imagine any socks even the really expensive ones could be any better.

Small size fits 5-6 (38-39)
The size small fit my size 5 feet well, with a little room to spare at the toes. I have wide feet so they are a little tight but not at all uncomfortable. One reviewer mentioned them being loose at the ankles for him - they fit me just fine but I don't have very skinny ankles. Size small measures just under 4 inches at the stitching part of the ankle and just over 4 inches across at the top - being stretchy fits my 9 inch ankle just right.
