Good machine for model making.
Set the fence carefully and the saw will give repeated accurate cuts in all a good machine. One minor complaint the assembly instructions could be better.

With some work it’s value for money
This is a pretty good saw for the price. Delivery was very quick. The set up of the saw took a while to get most of it in square, the mitre slot is out of square but that’s not a big concern if you know how to adjust the bed to make up for it.Small issues are the extraction pipe comes off may be just mine but some glue has sorted that. The blade that comes is ok for small use I would advise to buy a 6 tpi and skip tooth blade for curves and crosscuts and a 3tpi skip tooth for rip sawing it will make the world of difference. The bed is not very solid some vibrations but with some small adjustments and a n extra bit of support from underneath it can be rectified.I’ve cross cut and cut curves in white oak it seems pretty good for this and I’ve ripped up some walnut edges for a top I’ve made.I will be cutting some wenge and African olive wood in the next few weeks and I will update my review once I’ve done thisAll in all it’s good for a very small hobby or workshop.Update.Still works although I have almost of problems I have tried to fixThe guide alignment is nowhere near inline with the table slot the mechanism for tensioning the blade beads to be made better as it slips slotThe connection port for the extraction is poorly designed had to adapt my own to workThe mitre fence is way too sloppy of a fit so again had to make my own all in all of it were half the price it would be worth it.If your looking for a bandsaw that will work hard I suggest buying a slightly more expensive 10inch bandsaw and some good blades

Brilliant bit of kit
I've wanted a little hobby band saw for a while now but most within this price range don't have very good reviews, even this one has a few bad reviews but I couldn't be more happy with it. I've not had to fiddle with anything, straight out the box this is a wicked little bit of kit, even the blade is good. The guide rail is sturdy, it's well made and I would strongly recommend this one.

Be prepared to spend some time...
...realigning the micro-switches on the doors. On mine, they were out of alignment and it took me a whole day to sort them out. The there's the guide rollers - very difficult to set properly. The 'user's guide' is for a different model, so is not a lot of use.If I hadn't had experience of industrial band-saws, I would have been flummoxed. All in all I am very disappointed in Draper, whose products are usually very good.Update - I've had it a week now and still not been able to cut a straight line. I have spent hours trying everything to get it sorted. I've even had an engineer come down to my workshop to have a go (he has a bandsaw). He failed. I went online to watch a demonstration on YouTube. No joy.Summary - a waste of money. It'll gather dust until I throw it away!Sent it back - £21.24 with TNT

... cut well done my first two joints and very pleased with out come
after some time put it together fiddly aliening blade but got it about right the only thing the table not solid bends down if you press on it had to put some support under it when using cut well done my first two joints and very pleased with out come, also fitted small lights behind machine as hard to see the blade when starting cut , would be great if a little was fitted to machine like on pillar drills very pleased with Band saw

Item delivered early but looked like it had been jumped on
The box looked like it had been used as a trampoline and sure enough the band saw had small items missing , the motor housing was dented in there for made terrible noise which I've fixed, the platform it sits on is bent paint chipped, no wonder the delivery driver just dropped and run , I'll be able to tidy and repair not had chance to try the bandsaw and I'll add a review on that at a later date

Tidy machine
This is a machine you wondered how you managed without one. Pleased with the value for the money. I only cut relatively small modelling items and with the stock blade it will cut small radius easily and very sharp. Cuts foam block a treat.

Poor build quality.
Suppose you get what you pay for,,I'm a hobbyist, so I'm not going to pay several hundred pounds,to cut a few bits of plywood once a week, I've bought other Draper products over the years ,Whilst they are not the best , they are far from the worst! The saw arrived ontime, so no complaints about that, however the box was damaged ,and once opened ,it was obvious that someone had been there before me, everything inside had been removed, then just dumped back in,( not Drapers fault, probably why it was £20 cheaper!)The saw itself works , it cuts wood ,but the build quality is poor ,the table moulding is covered in flashing from the moulding process ,and one of the locks on the acess doors needed some TLC, it didnt shut properly ,I've used it a couple of times and it's not got a lot of power, and I'm not hopeful of the blade lasting too long,Its struggling to cut 80mm , which is its limit , but it's made to cut 80mm, so it should cut it without problems. To be honest , I should have sent it back just for the fact that it was basically second hand, but I just couldn't be bothered with all the hassle,I'll give it a year ,While I save up for something that actually does what it says on the box.
