Works great, purchased and used to upgrade a GoTek into a full fledged FlashFloppy mode with a dial and screen.

Good bright small display
Worked as expected. The display area is about 80% if the total size so you need to carefully measure for mounting. The clarity and brightness are very good.

a really good display for beginners
This display is small, but it can do so many things for its size. It works really good with the adafruit SSD1306 arduino library, just make sure you have their gfx library. I managed to find a video on youtube to help me create custom images on it, so iโm doing some experiments to see what i can create. I would recommend this display for beginners who want to learn about how to use these displays.

Dims over time
Left this on for over a year on a thermostat build. Pixels became dimmer over time, but still readable.

Arrived Defective
Item Defective! Internal thermal fault. Voltage at Pi 3.3V pin measured 3.28V confirmed correct. Voltage measured at OLED VCC input dropped to 2.7V, meaning the module itself is dropping 0.58V and converting it to heat internally. Surface temperature at the driver chip near the ribbon connector climbed to 112ยฐF within seconds of powering on and continued rising.
