MonstrumBlackbird 1X Prism Scope

I have an SBR where I do not have room for a BUIS. So I wanted a sight where it is not battery dependent. So I started looking at prism sight options. Since this is a budget build, this fit the bill. The construction is solid. Easy to sight it. Having the green and red illumination is nice for low light application. Having it off for daytime use and just having the etched circle dot sight is more than adequate. I would definitely recommend this site and if I had another build. I would not mind buying another one.

Very satisfied with this purchase. I tried to go the cheaper route (I should have known), but stumbled on this one searching for a different one. I read all the reviews and went to YouTube to see the reviews there. put it on my firearm and its great. the clarity on the reticle is great. the black etched circle gives me peace of mind if ever the battery dies. I'm very content and could buy more of this brand in the future.

Clear optic, adjusts easily. And mounts nicely. Simple and clean looking. This is advertised as having a red and green reticle with 5 levels of each color but only has 11 settings for red.

It may not be fair to "give" 4 stars based on first impressions and no real world use yet because I've been wrong about stuff before. But, at least it's packed well and first impressions are good.So long as the scope adjusts and holds zero I'll be very happy with it. Which is the only thing I want it to do.So far, the scope is clear. Reticle is well defined. Focus works on it. The red and green illuminator works. The optic came in a vacuum sealed baggy. Two batteries. Little allen wrench and a lens cloth.If looking into a dark area though, the reticle is a little hard to see by itself without any illumination. It's better with the illumination for sure.It's a bit on the heavy/chunky side. I wasn't expecting it to be as heavy as it was. That's neither good nor bad though because they did list the weight in the specs and I didn't look at it--nobodies fault buy my own there. But at least the aluminum housing should be adequate and is very robust.I really don't expect any issues from it to be fair. If I do experience any, I'll edit the review and be open about it and change the rating accordingly.

Well made scope with really clear glass. Right out of the box it feels like it can hold up like a high dollar brand scope. Haven't zeroed it yet but I'm sure it will hold, will be buying more for other setups.

It only has a red reticle no green. Even the adjustment knob is diffrent then photos. It does what it should but does show some ghosting around the reticle in low light applications. Tried to contact for support but never heard back.

I threw this on an ar pistol, and man it's great easy to sight in, and you have green or red different brightness, the coolest thing to me you turn it off and it still has a cross hair sight without it being on. Has a good quality feel and easy to change out the battery!!! Comes with 2 batteries.
