Great breeding box for parakeets. Don't buy them for any birds larger than a parakeet though. I like the sliding panel so you can look in without disturbing the birds too much. They fit well on my cage

Upon opening I was surprised it was larger than I expected but that’s ok. Immediately found out could not remove see through glass panel I think someone forgot to finish the channel upon building but that’s ok. Also the sliding view panel doesn’t have any sort of handle to easily open or close so immediately had to remedy that.My parakeets are curious but haven’t got close to it yet .I will let you know how long it takes them

Very happy with this bird house but I have not seen the birds go inside . But they have been inspecting it and chewing the the perch

My birds went nuts on this. One of my females is older and on her 3rd husband. I adopted her and the 1st one and were tied it was Larry and Harry. But it's Harriet haha 😄 He left her for a younger bird and tried to have both. Harriet wasn't having it. She lost her younger 2nd guy to illness. And a new young lady has stepped in. But her eggs end up on the floor and she's tried to lay them inside food trough buy no one respects her privacy so she Definitely deserves a place. They watched me set it up and I called mama Harriet and she came over to check it out They're so smart and you have to be patient. If it's not in a good place for them move it. You can put millet inside and move the wood.pieve so they can see and maybe be less.scared. I put some bedding line you get for hamsters in and she could move that around. I put the wing nutels in front of the box. 1 washer doesn't fit flush but that's ok.you don't want anything protruding inside. Def OK for one sweet parakeet to muddle.Someone said there wasn't a perch but there is a hole for a wood dole included. It's solid soft pine wood. Idk people w pictures of particle board stuffThe screw inside the box farthest from the door is sticky and I couldn't hold the screw while twisting the wing nut on other side while extended in a.large cage haha maybe use a screw driver or something to hold it while you tighten.Now...the 2nd one I ordered for Sprinkles (the younger bird with Harry) who watched jealously from a neighboring cage was missing a tiny metal dole for one of the door hinges. Omg!!!! All perfect except that and has to go back as I can fix menau things bit not that.Also the wood is soft and if you gently roll the tip of the dole indie the hoke it will make it easy to insert.Nice product and great price.P.s. if your birds are eating at it, put other toys or chew kabobs in to distract them. They always need things. Better yet I hang carrots thru the bars or you can make a slit and hang or tie to a string. They eat and or.chew and spit bit they love it! Their little faces orange after 😉.Oh I did have trouble as I said the a screw being tight. For now I hung a toy outside they don't play with to keep the box even.

My parakeets loved this nest and by the 2nd week of having them they laid eggs.
